you know what i respect science communicators so much now how do they go through tons of scientific papers in major detail to extract key information from them and then present it in a way thats accessible to the general public. without wanting to kill themselves

#also it makes me trust less and less those video essay youtubers who take on the role of science communicators #without any formal education in the field theyre talking abt. like yes self teaching can go a long way #but idk if i can be sure u guys actually know what ur talking abt #tbh sometimes i feel like its not even that the content itself is so complicated. some research papers are just terribly written #as in like. with a little rephrasing (AND REFORMATTING) this could be much more accessible without dumbing anything down. and yet #thots
