I wanted to share this with you all. What better than with my #YorkUAlumni pin! Today is the official date of conferral of my degree. Yet, it is not the paper that matters; it is my experience, what it took to get here, what I have learned both academically and about myself, who I am and what I truly want to do. It was a period of growth through which I met many people who have made lasting impressions on my life. I'd like to thank everyone who had a part in my life during this time. You have, in some way, helped fuel my ambition to achieve goals that made me become the person I am today. I would like to graciously thank York's Dept of Phys&Astro and all the faculty. In particular, Professor Sean Tulin has transformed my path into something tangible, something promising, something real. I discovered what I enjoy, what I thrive in. It is through my research under him, through his continued belief in my capabilities, that I found myself, found something beyond fascination—I found my passion. Many professors to thank. Prof Matt Johnson, whose excitement about cosmology thoroughly energized me, helped me realize cosmology is definitely something I want to work on in PhD studies. Prof Paul Delaney had a huge part in my early years at York. I learned to use telescopes at the Observatory thanks to him! I owe a lot of my eagerness to pursue my passion to him. And Prof Marshall McCall gave me my first ever research position!! Many others. Thank you all. Last but not least, the Astronomy Club ❤ Seeing fiery interest in talks we hosted from students from all walks of life was one of the best experiences ever. Having been part of infusing people's lives with a love for astronomy and physics was one of the greatest pleasures life could have bestowed upon me. My journey at York has come to an end, but with every end comes a new beginning: PhD studies. It is with great pleasure that I'd like to share that I've been admitted to the #PhDPhysics programs at UCI and UCR thus far! Stress does not begin to describe the part few months, but these two gems have invigorated me beyond words. I look forward to the challenges ahead. I'm ready ❤ #graduated #astroparticletheorytime
