i think its stupid people think that just cuz you're good at something means you like it you wouldnt believe how many people have been shocked to discover i hate math with a passion despite being good at it sure, i can do the numbers right i guess, doesnt mean i enjoy the numbers i tell them that no i dont like math, i get the responses "that's not good" or "but you're so good at it!" yeah sure im good at it. how would you like it if i stabbed you and you were good at dying? would you enjoy dying? no! what if you were good at stubbing your toe on the edge of tables? would you like it? no! so why should i enjoy math just because im good at it?

Yeah, I know, "avixthecat" isn't just Avix. How shocking. Anyways! All characters are always named in the tags. Including ☼︎! R gets tagged as ☼︎, so sorry if that makes it difficult to search for. No im not i lied hahaha! Anukai & Koratu/Achromatic's taggings are slightly more complicated. They both have a tag that's summed up as a/(x) (name). This is to specify who exactly it is, because both of them have multiple peeps for one body. For example, if I wanted Andy, I'd do a/t Andy. The wiki has the guide for exactly who. im tired okay I have a wiki guide to all my original things in this blog here! Still a big work in progress, so don't expect it to be too fully fleshed out any time soon. It'll get there eventually!

yknow its always "werewolves on the full moon this" "werewolves on the full moon that" what about a werewolf who tracks the lunar cycle and makes a mistake and has the full moon a day early on their calendar and freak out over it until they "realize" that they wont transform and then think theyve been granted immunity and then get their hopes crushed and are absolutely baffled by the "late" lunar effects

it's silly how we ridicule others for the career they want to follow i, for one, do not care for statistics. i look at other people who like and want to do statistics as a career and wonder how they aren't bored or miserable. yet, there's a person behind me, wondering why i'd ever want to study and help out those feathered, flying creatures and why i'm not trying to get a career in human health instead. behind that person is a person wondering how they stomach forensics, and behind them is a person wondering how they could ever even think about astronomy positively. what i'm trying to say is, Don't ridicule and hurt others for the career they want to pursue, no matter what it may be. There's always another person behind you who'll think the same things, and if you're going around telling people how wrong they are, why would they stop to not say the same to you?

this is a rant. dont read it if you dont like rants. also, depression mention warning

over the summer, i went to the nordic countries and germany. this should be super exciting! i should be running around boasting to everybody about how fun and awesome it was like every other american kid my age would! it was amazing! it was a super cool experience! but here i am. forgetting to tell my friends about it even now, hell, forgetting about so many details of it myself. it feels like it happened millions of years ago yet still has yet to happen for millions more. if i didnt have proof that it happened this year, would i even remember it happened now? in a few years from now, maybe three, i wont remember when it happened at all. i've already forgotten the month. this is probably the undiagnosed depression, isn't it? forgetting something that made me happy like this, forgetting the dates. all of it. a while back, i dont how far back, maybe a year or two ago? i went to get a flu shot per usual for most autumns. while there, they had a depression test they had me take. i was grinning the whole time like an idiot! not because i was excited to take the test, but because i've taken that exact same damn test a myriad of times before on finch! so many times i recognized the questions and knew by heart which was coming next! (well, except for two(?) that werent on finch.) i looked like such a joyous fool on the outside, but was in such great pain inside. because i lied. i lied on all but the memory question. all of them. because my mom was in the room. because the doctor never asked if i wanted her gone. my brother came with us and i was asked if i wanted him to step out (yes, obviously). but my mom wasnt an option, and if i said i wanted her gone too, there'd be no point in hiding the answer anyways. so i lied. i lied i lied i lied. and it hurts so much. it hurt in the car. i couldnt stop thinking about it and still cant stop thinking about it because it hurts. "but, ☼, what does this have to do with going on vacation?" i remember this more than going there even though vacation was more recent. even though it made me feel better. what's the point to all this? uh uhh i guess doctors, ask your young patients if they want their parents to leave the room when they take the depression test. you have no idea how not asking could ruin their lives later on.

thank you for reading, i suppose. i really need to vent to somebody, and the Entirety of the Internet is infinitely better than my parents.
