They decide to live together and are at a crossroad when both of them have to choose between their respective careers and their partners. After some minor hiccups, they decide to marry and live happily ever after. . What's so fresh about this storyline? Absolutely nothing and it is as old as Adam and Eve. Still what makes Ok Kanmani one of the best romances to have come out in the 21st century?. Just one answer to that question. A master craftsman named #ManiRatnam and his near perfect integration of so many good elements. . Two good leads in #NithyaMenen and #DulquerSalman who shared an awesome chemistry as #Tara and #Adhi, delectable scenes one after the other and the best of technical works made OK Kanmani unforgettable to a generation of viewers who've always adored Mani Ratnam films. The way he captured today's youth, their aspirations and their attitude towards lust, love and life is real textbook material for aspiring filmmakers. There are so many great scenes in the movie that I can't just name one favorite. Trademark Mani Sir train and bus sequences, something with which we've grown up, the scene in the clinic where Adhi believes Tara has come for a pregnancy test, the couple's first meeting with Ganapathi(#PrakashRaj) and Bhavani(#LeelaSamson), the scene where Bhavani comes to know about her Alzheimer's, the rain sequences with #AyeSinamika in the background and a hell lot of hormonal love making scenes, all these were just Vintage Mani Ratnam. . #PcSreeram and #ArRahman giving it their all with exquisite frames and songs also made OK Kanmani soar high. I believe I can write on some length about how Mani Ratnam has utilized Rahman's songs score and also about Nithya Menon's Tara and Dulquer's Adhi, but that'll be for sometime later.
