Okay looks like I have another horror book to add to my tbr
#an author on tiktok was talking about the differences (for him) writing ya vs writing adult horror#b/c both his adult horror book and one of his ya horror books both deal w/ a trans male character going through an unwanted pregnancy#but in the ya its a secondary character not the mc#so that experience gets filtered through him#and in the adult horror book white says he feels more free to sexualize the horrors way more than he does when writing ya#where he feels more he has a mission statement of sorts#considering the audience (typically younger queer ppl)#and tbh i dont know anything else about the book but he's fully leaning into sexualizing the horrors? makes me want to read it#i'll see if my library has it when it comes out next month
