You're never gonna believe this from the one who runs a Babblong sideblog with the Babblong profile picture, but it's BABBLONG!!! I'm on laptop rn or else I would show you some of my 1000 photos of him sigh...here's this one for now >:)

He's really silly and gives off that unneccecarily jovial uncle who definitely knows the most random things kinda vibe. He's seen as annoying in the anime, but I think it's pretty neat he can hold his own in his own unique way!! They should've summoned him more smh...At least he got an episode again in the 2020 series :) He tells some interesting stories!! Plus, he's got a bit of impulse control judging by the Granny Edna Lottery gambling addiction, and the shopping spree from his debut story ^u^

His design is pretty fun, people like to think he's either a bird, banana, or both; personally, I go with the banana interpretation. His color palate is literally just my favorite colors ever combined into one character AND he wears fuckass sandals like I do too ahfnuejfoeksodfke//// He's so fun and definitely my favorite yapper ever. And the kinda twin tail feather thing he has going on with his hair? Fantastic. no notes. he's his own barber 100%

90% of the time in the games he's just trying to be helpful!! Sure his explainations are long-winded, but little kid me LISTENED TO ALLAT AND LEARNED HOW TO PLAY BETTER!!!! In every quest he's featured in he's just being a casual nuisance, and is pretty chill about it afterwards just like "Oh, you beat me. Awesome sauce, let's be friends" (<<<Worst impression/summarization ever) His stats are pretty mid, but he's got hella health and also a pretty helpful inspirit :) I don't play competitive tho so I don't really care how good he is in the game; he's on all my teams cause I like his goofy face,,,

His soultimate being just. Slapping an enemy with his nose is hilarious. My favorite fool. Plus;;; skilled loafer!! He's peak even when he's loafing, recoverin HP and stuff. How many yokai do that? Not a ton!!! Also, giggling. His held items being either a fucking carrot or a runic charm. he can hand over either a root vegetable or an enchanted amulet type beat. Thank you Babblong you're the best I'll cherish them both forever.

^^Btw funniest guy ever. Not really but also yes really!! He does stand-up as show in the game dialogue in ykw2 when you ring his doorbell so he lectures you on why it's rude to if you don't listen to his stories >:( But then as per typical banana fashion he gets sidetracked and talks about his experience trying karaoke disjfekfew,,,,,Can't find the photo right now, but he has pretty neat handwriting!!!! It's in that one mr crabby cat final exam dub episode.

Anyways I like him a normal amount. Ha cha cha

I prefer the game timeline by far, but I do like the scenarios and unlikely interactions between yokai the anime brings!! Plus screenshots guwahh....But no McKraken in the anime :o(

in my heart pyrite has lots of themes in her fighting persona around fire but at home she owns a million flourishing plants she takes emaculate care of. (she's my oc idk why i said this like i can't make it canon.)

i like to think when the merge happened with yyasulani she made an effort to visit with the turali folks regularly and exchange gardening tips. she would've done what she could to ensure as many yyasulani plants as possible could find suitable accommodations to the lightning-aspected environment, and she keeps several of those plants herself now, given to her as cuttings or seedlings. :')

i think she'd have a soft spot for the turali people because of her own experiences as a race that basically doesn't exist aside from herself and a few others. that feeling of isolation would resonate with her a lot, and she'd want to preserve as much of yyasulani for those people as possible. plants and food staple crops would just be one of the ways she'd really excel at it thanks to her green thumb.

i really do hope we get to see more of the yyasulani side of heritage found, or perhaps there could be sections of it that weren't caught under the bubble that we could go see in the future. i'm overall extremely enjoying dt but i do think the heavy heavy heavy focus on alexandria in the post patches is, while understandable from the corner they kinda wrote themselves into squeezing alexandria into dt, has been really unfortunate for the people much more invested in tural. i know with mmos patience is always the game, but i admit i'm worried when i consider their track record for returning to and expanding on places like thavnair and ala mhigo. it def feels like they fell into a bit of a love letter to this secondary place they created/adapted from ff9, which i'm not COMPLETELY against, but i do really hope we circle back around.

not-particularly-forbidden-secret Rei headcanons

While, Rei did not and does not really get the whole obsession girls have with first kisses, she actually might be the first in the group to have one. Kotone, one of Rei’s kinda-friends by virtue of being into unexplained phenomenon and thus not put off by Rei’s spooky reputation, used to prattle on about it and they mutually decided to try it. Kotone was awkward about it afterwards and Rei couldn’t see the big deal, so they dropped it. (Ami is the only one of the girls who knows the full story. Rei merely trolled Minako with the implication of it to stop her from bragging once.)

Rei does not really like the whole ~onee-sama~ flavor of school age relationships, despite it being a role she readily falls into and being seen as that by a non-zero number of classmates. It’s most apparent with very young children and Usagi (to which Michiru, unused to see that kind of open tenderness, temporarily though they were/had been a thing at some point)  Conversely, Rei doesn’t like large age gapes in relationships either because of power dynamic issues, although her admitted preference would be capable, self-sufficient older women (she would actually find Ami’s mother pretty close to ideal if not for her workaholic nature causing Ami problems)

Rei has a poor sense of smell and a preference for heavily seasoned and savory foods (to the point she’s eaten chili peppers out of a jar just to show Minako she could). Rei’s prenatural affinity to fire luckily cancels out the obvious danger that could cause when around flammable objects and oils. She’s also slightly anemic (her mother moreso) and is kind of a carnivore whenever possible, like at restaurants and such.

“Rei” and “Mars” are similar in personality but differ in execution. Mars is more traditionally ‘passionate’ and precise in her aggressive approach (Minako has grudgingly admitted to herself it’s really attractive) Rei mostly keeps that under wraps though because of her fear of being a manipulative person. It works out for the most part, as Rei has been dealing with that side of herself since she began her training and didn’t even know it was ‘Mars’.

Rei comes off as the most judgemental when everyone else is down for a specific idea, but also a darkhorse supporter for a lot stuff when everyone else would disagree.

Rei has (very informally) trained both Michiru and Mams in handling their abilities, the former to avoid mutually-understood “bad dreams” pre-senshi and the later as a show of good faith of them wishing to be helpful to the senshi which Rei Did-Not-Implicitly-Demand-At-All-What-Are-You-Even-Talking-About.

While Rei knows Ami has a kind emotional side, she also knows appealing to Ami’s intellect is the easy way to get her direct opinion on a subject.

Ofc the og is gonna be my fave, they perfected it first try and I think he's the neatest ever <333 He's gotta fun voice in the sub and dub, plus imo is helpful for newer players in the game "he yaps tho" THATS A PRO NOT A CON 🗣🗣🗣🗣‼️Funny guy, would trust w/ my drink.

Hes silly! I wish he hadn't had his only episode in the series I disliked the artstyle of the most, but eh. Pretty fun design, wack ass yokai ability lol. Wish the colors on his skirt thing were thought out a little better,,,

3. COCOBANANA

Ehhh, I like the concept of his medal art and appearance in the games a lot more than the anime. He was kind of an asshole in the anime, as well as BLUE EYED.../j Chocolate covered nose is a cute idea tho, and I do like the goofy shorts :] Plus, he sells choco bananas in the game!

4. VINCIBANA

Literally only picture I could find other than the wibwob one lol. Gonna be honest, not a fan. Idk kinda creative in some aspects, but js not rad in others.

Not gonna count Sangokushi forms of the first two, but ye! :) Love my bananas
