So when I arrived at the studio yesterday evening after being gone the entire day. I was happy to find that this guy right here @timothyheardmusic had gotten hours of vocal tuning done! He also managed to lay down a bunch of track enhancing trumpet parts to compliment the trombone parts from the previous day! Then we spent the evening stacking staccato parts on the chorus to finish it off! So only one day after my friend @timothyheardmusic and I mentioned that we wanted to get a brass section for the reggae track we were making. @woodrowwilsonjr and I were having a meeting at @bennettsfreshroast around the corner from the studio. This is where we just so happened to meet this extremely talented young trombonist named Jackson! 16-year-old Musician who is ready to get in the studio and kill it!..... And kill it he did! Within 36 hours of meeting him we had him in the studio laying down some killer trombone parts that had a large impact on the song! Tonight Tim and I will be putting trumpets over the staccato parts on the chorus! One of my favorite things to do is to walk into the studio with no plan, no pressure and a blank session. Starting a new creation from scratch. Making something that did not exist before that session. Creating music with no expectation of it sounding like any particular genre. Anything goes! Recording live instrumentation then mangling it and twisting it to something else. Just throwing ideas at the wall to see what will stick.
