These 114 Creative Toys & Games Will Top Kids’ Wish Lists this Holiday Season!
New York, NY | November 11, 2019 – The Toy Association today unveiled 114 toy and game finalists for the prestigious 2020 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards. Known as the “Oscars” of the toy industry, the TOTY Awards program recognizes the top playthings on the market – from STEM/STEAM and innovative toys to dolls, action figures, creative toys, and more. The program is also a vital fundraiser for The Toy Foundation, which annually delivers toys to millions of children in need.
Finalists were announced this morning by a group of well-known online influencers who serve as TOTY ambassadors. Between now and January 5, 2020 play-lovers of all ages can visit www.ToyAwards.org to vote for their favorite playthings in each of the 16 categories, browse toys, download shopping lists for the holidays, and enter for a chance to win one of 16 toy prize packages.
“From an extraordinary field of nominees carefully reviewed by expert judges, this year’s TOTY finalists truly represent our members’ ability to bring fun, laughter, discovery, and learning to kids across America and around the world,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “We are proud to unveil these playthings in advance of the holiday season and celebrate the toy community’s enduring ability to inspire generations of play. Everyone is encouraged to cast their votes at ToyAwards.org and help decide the winners!”
Winners in each category, as well as the coveted overall Toy of the Year winner and the People’s Choice winner (based solely on consumer votes), will be announced at the TOTY Awards gala on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The celebration will kick off Toy Fair New York and include the induction of three trailblazers into the esteemed Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

Old "Alignment Shift" doodle dump
Since I talked about "Alignment Shift" on main, I might as well post some doodles I did for the AU... though again, it's mainly AS Mira (and some AS Spectra and AS Clay)-
First of all- outdated design, but AS Clay
Wanted to like- have him disheveled- he's working on 7 cups of coffee and is awake for 4 days already someone sent him to SLEEP-
AS Mira doesn't approve of this-
OKAY THE NEXT ONE REQUIRE SOME CONTEXT- AS Mira and OG Mira will have a brawl- it goes bad for the original Mira-
After the brawl she just says this to AS Spectra-
AS Spectra wanting to keep OG Mira-
This one is based on a quote I found on TV tropes
This one was drawn shortly after I made Fire Mira- of course AS Mira is here to bother her-
And here's another one-
The Mira on the right is from another AU (this is the only time I drew her too), she's a spirit-
(Basically, Fire Mira survived being set on fire, while the spirit Mira perished due to over exhaustion/sickness, and AS Mira is making a comment about it)
and then she got hit by a steel chair, (featuring @coldwatermelon78 's Pennyverse Mira)
This has Mire's old design- but they meet for the first time- it didn't go well-
Again with Mire's old design
And again, Pennyverse Mira is here-
AS Mira got buried by rocks- Mire is spooked-
Aaaand this time with Mirage... great I realized I'll now have to talk ab Mirage later down the line too-
When the cat is being a cat-
And for some last ones for tonight- I also did a MS2 design for her
I know I posted the last two- but I still find these funny (non canonical to the actual story, but I couldn't help but doodle this scenario)

Alignment Shift and Collision Strife
I keep saying I’ll explain my AUs and I’ll try to do that now. For the most part this information is stuck in the Bakugan Interspace AUs channel as I barely write things down, but now I’m going to try and get these AUs on Tumblr.
For the record,
I’m not a writer.
I like creating AUs that put the characters in weird situations, and AUs that change how characters act. After all, it’s an AU, and it’s interesting to explore how certain characters can be changed, for the better or for worse.
Alignment Shift originally started by the classic idea of, well, an alignment shift, good guys are bad, bad guys are good. However, this AU developed into something a bit more, which will be explored in “Collision Strife”.
In the AS universe, Naga got stuck in the Infinity Core, while Wavern was stuck in the Silent Core. Wavern would then influence 6 kids, which would form The Silent Brawlers, a team of mischievous kids that are meant to send bakugans to the doom dimension and seek out Naga.
However, Naga influences one of these kids, Alice, alongside her grandfather to help them fight for the good side. Masquerade is seen as a hero who is trying to stop the Silent Brawlers.
I’ll also grab a comic exclusive character for this universe, Katie Lowery. After losing her partner bakugan, Chamelia, she tries her best to lead a ragtag team of kids to stop the Silent Brawlers.
The Silent Brawlers however would end up being victorious in the end. New Vestroia, in this AU, is more or less a hellhole for the bakugans stuck in this dimension.
And then we get to the Vestals. In this universe, the Vestals were just in search of planets that didn’t had any living beings so they could expand their colony, however, when they stumbled upon New Vestroia, they were shocked to see that such dimension had living beings stuck on it. Despite having a crowded planet, they decided to take the bakugans in. This however, alerted the Silent Brawlers, esp AS Dan and AS Drago, so, they went to AS Vestal to try and capture the fleeing bakugans, teaming up with 3 vestals in the process.
The Vestal Protectors and the three “Silent” Vetals.
The Vestal Protectors are this universe’s equivalent of the Vexos (also called the VPs for short), they’re meant to chase off the Silent Brawlers and help Clay in the mission to rescue the bakugans.
AS Spectra, being the leader of the group, tries his best to manage the group, however it’s hard to face off the team when one of the members is his own little sister, but not for the reasons you might think.
AS Mira, hooo boy I finally get to talk about this girl on my blog. OG Mira is a sweet kid, that might had done stupid decisions but that’s because she cares about her brother. But AS Mira? She doesn’t really care, in fact, she pretty much torments her brother and father, to the point Clay pretty much became a workaholic that barely sleeps just so he could avoid her and AS Keith… would eventually adopt a new identity to hide from her, becoming the leader of the VPs in the process… and there she is, yet again, just to mess with him. She doesn’t know he’s Keith and he doesn’t think she even cares.
Also, as you can tell by their positions, AS Spectra cares for the Bakugans, while AS Mira doesn’t.
There’s also AS Ace and AS Baron, but they feel more like in a hostage situation, following AS Mira’s commands in fear she might do something to them.
Collision Strife
And then, we get to Collision Strife. HOPEFULLY- this will be a fic.
The idea is, that instead of arriving back in their original universe, Dan, Runo, Baron and Mira somehow end up in the AS universe. Somehow the two Dimensional transporters linking up when they went in the portal. The original Michael, Julie and Alice being confused as to why Runo hasn’t arrived, until Michael finds the reason.
With the 4 brawlers stuck in this new universe, they end up seeing the Silent Brawlers and the Vestal Protectors. Eventually, the Battle Brawlers and VPs team up while they’re stuck in this universe. There is a lot more planned.
Julie and Alice going in this universe to rescue Runo, only for them getting kidnaped by the SBs, and then later on freed by Runo and Baron.
The AS versions of Wilda, Nemus and Percival being taken by the Battle Brawlers and joining them.
Standard NV stuff once they return to NV.
And once the Sky Palace is done… something new-
Collision Strife is planned to be part of my “Multiverse Special”, while most of the fics will focus on the collide between the original and alignment shift universe, there will be a fic in this special that will include more multiverse shenanigans.
If you have any questions about this I'll try to explain :'D

OKAY- so umm- I did mention AS Mira in my Alignment Shift post, then I talked about Mirage and Fire Mira... but I always tend to forget to do a post about another reoccurring Mira alternate I tend to show on here and my side account (@bakugan-doodles)...
I guess it's time to change that-
So- I should finally talk about...
Gosh this image is long
Fun fact, I slightly updated the design just to prepare for this... and then forgot...
Anyways... so here's my genderflipped Mira, or as I call him- Mire-
I am NOT doing a full on genderflip AU (too much work and I don't want to do that- if anyone wants to do it, be my guest-)- however, this isn't just the same story in canon but now it's Mire- it's a bit different.
Now, for a quick warning- Mire's AU has some bits of transphobia present in his story (to make it short... Clay is just an awful father).
I say this because... Mire is trans! Link of drawing I did of him for pride month!
Now, as mentioned earlier- Clay isn't that thrilled of the idea... however, here comes Keith- who would always stick by Mire's side... until out of a sudden he just, disappeared... right when the family was supposed to move to New Vestroia...
Shortly after that, similar to the canon, he'd stumble in Clay's lab and notice Hydranoid... however unlike canon- instead of seeing Keith, there's Spectra-
So, he does run, start the resistance and tries to free the bakugans... however unlike canon, there are some changes to how his story goes-
While he still tries to look for Keith, that mission is pretty much a side quest as he mainly puts his energy into the main mission at hand. There's no moment when he does ditch the team.
And then we get to Earth and when he learns that Spectra is Keith... yeah he won't take it well. Since he saw Spectra in the lab, he pretty much took it as Spectra working with Clay- and learning that Spectra is Keith, pretty much angers him (Julie would have to hold him so he won't just beat the shit out of Spectra).
When the moment comes for the group to just return to New Vestroia... he doesn't betray the team, meaning in his universe, the girls actually end up coming to New Vestroia to help the team- ALSO- not as important but the rest of the resistance on New Vestroia doesn't get captured.
So umm- yeah- dude's just ends up sticking with the team no matter what-
I do need to explain some stuff about him before I'll move forward.
Unlike canon Mira... he's a bit more on the dumb side... but in a charming way?
Despite all that, he doesn't fall into the pitfalls of "trying to find his brother". Mainly because he thinks he'd be just like him (in the sense of disappearing/ditching him) to the team.
There's also him and Ace... while for the most part in canon, Ace's the one to have a crush on Mira, while Mira is oblivious... here both Ace and Mire are oblivious to one another... but somehow still act like they're married couple. (Dan would try to call it out but they both deny it).
My brain's also like "Hey let's give him big brother energy", esp when I think ab the potential interactions he'll have with Runo and Julie.
This is also the reason why he doesn't betray the team when they return to New Vestroia, he's aware he'd leave everyone stranded and ruin the chance for the girls to join them.
So yeah- in short, he may be dumb, but he's- well, sweet, in a sense of "everyone likes this dude".
Honestly this is also why I depicted him once as a shoulder angel- it's also funny to look at him and AS Mira. AS Mira is just the most evil person you'll see, meanwhile Mire is the most compassionate person.
Also ngl, both of them are so different from canon Mira- but I like it? I really like when AU characters can be so different from their original counterpart. Their own person, splintered from someone else.
If you have any question about him or his universe, feel free to ask, I'll try to answer.
Last fun fact: His universe is named "The butterfly effect", to reflect how a tiny change can just spiral into something bigger.

Bakugan AUs Masterpost (3rd try)
Soooo- I want to redo my master post... again. This is mainly for Bakugan AUs. Some overlap may happen if the AU is a crossover.
Catverse
Everyone is a cat... sort of- technically started back in FNF days but the most content I did for this is bakugan related.
[Main tag] | [Ref sheet masterpost]
Bakugan: Swapverse
A (kind of) swap AU. The main 6 switch places with themselves. Later on swaps can get a bit... funky-
[Main tag]
Bakugan: Trial by Fire
Mira gets cursed by the 6 legendary soldiers :'D pain and shenanigans ensue
[Main tag]
Bakugan: Alignment Shift
Good guys are bad, bad guys are good.... sort of, it's not all black and white.
[Main tag]
Bakugan: Butterfly Effect
How could one detail change the story?
[Main tag]
Unity AU
Wait this isn't even bakugan by this point?

Pixel's Bakugan AU masterlist thingy
I feel like I'm going to forget to update this- but just going to try and make a quick masterlist for my AUs
Catverse
Everyone is cat (or Dragons in the case of gundalians, and axolotls in the case of Neathians)
OLD Masterpost [OUTDATED, contains links to old designs + art]
NEW Maserlist [Contains links to designs and lore]
Multiverse Special
Hopefully I'll make this a fic, but as the name suggests, this is a story about multiverse shenanigans... though, it's mainly about two universes, the original and Alignment Shift
Alignment Shift and Collision Strife
Trial by Fire
TL;DR: Instead of getting the attribute energy, Mira gets cursed. Misery ensues-
Trial by Fire post
Unity AU
Bakugan but not really Bakugan, basically just importing my own lore from a personal story and taking the characters from Bakugan, making a new story.
Some Lore
Mirage
Ace and Baron
Lync
