Big ole #throwbackthursday to this very day two years ago. We got stuck by the side of the road in a downpour of liquid sunshine 🌞 • Have you ever gone searching for a iconic tourist/ insta spot only to choose to go elsewhere? • 📸 @rayrod85 Yesterday we climbed Mt. Batur and then spent the afternoon chasing waterfalls. We were going to check out that #BaliGateway, but it turns out it's on a golf course and you have to pay to get that iconic #Gateway to Heaven shot. How inauthentic is that? These gateways are actually everywhere and some (like this!) are more gorgeous and interesting to me than others. Nung nung #waterfall was alright, but coming from the land with Niagara Falls it wasn't totally worth the 600 + stairs down (and up) when we were still tired from Batur. Also @bali.swing was closed at 5PM!
