A huge day for Balkans, Montenegro opened its last chapter of negotiations with EU today.

Other candidates, that is, Serbia,  Macedonia and Albania, will apparently open their chapters in July. This is because of the recent Serbian election and the change of presidency from Croatia to back to Germany.

Serbia still has four years to open the remaining chapters, and by then Montenegro will likely become a member. Albania and Macedonia are expected to begin now, unless there are further delays. Bosnia and Kosovo will wait for the latter half of the decade.
