So, since Lunafreya is arguably somewhat a Naminé expy...

and Dawn of the Future was eventually going to give us Luna in a purple dress:

I wonder if that at all hints that we might get Naminé in purple someday. I've had the theory that we might, since Kairi isn't really using it anymore.

Then again, maybe she might be in the future:

Though to be honest, I don't know if Nomura was involved in the shirt and skirt choice that the model is wearing here for the Kairi part of the SuperGroupies Kingdom Hearts line (since they're not selling the shirt and skirt, I don't think). Though maybe he was.

And also... even if Kairi does start wearing purple again, that doesn't mean that Naminé can't wear it. Since for instance, both Donald and Riku wear blue:

And also, take all of this with a huge grain of salt, of course. Because we don't know how much of FFXV was Nomura's after he got kicked off the project. Or how much of Luna was Stella, if at all. (And also, I--and TV Tropes--could be dead wrong about the Luna and/or Stella being a Naminé expy thing. And even if she is, that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to at all hint at Nami's future wardrobe), I do think at least a few of Nomura's Versus and Stella ideas made the transition, maybe.

But still: grain of salt.

#long post #basically this entire post is just an excuse for me/us to talk about future namine clothes options and hopefully get her out of white #or just white i should say #and to talk/post more namine things #i also want to get luna out of just white--as i talked about yesterday (thankfully her kingsglaive dress had some black to it at least)--#which is why i'm glad that dawn of the future dress exists for her. i wish we'd gotten to see it in action or something #i even want to get xion out of just black clothes #don't be afraid of color my gals #though i also understand with character design. a lot of times the artist will give characters a signature color. but sometimes #the way it's handled can be frustrating #i feel like i'd be more okay with the luna and namine one if white was their color and i didn't feel like it washed them out sometimes #also pink really isn't kairi's color either... at least black works well for xion #i actually was annoyed in kh2 when sora's outfit became black instead of red because i didn't think it worked with his super light hair #and complexion #but now i'm more okay with it. probably because his hair's a bit darker in kh3. and there's more colors to offset the black #i also get the whit for luna and namine is also meant to be a purity and innocence thing. and namine was supposed to seem ghost-like #but now that we've moved on from the ghost-like thing with namine can she please get some color in her wardrobe?
