I. I need to tell a keroro fan this. HOLLLY SHIT. IMAGINE. IMAGINE THE SHEER AMOUNT OF COMEDY WHEN IT COMES TO GIRORO'S HOPELESS ROMANTICISMS. but instead of (that, degregatorily hate the canon) what if its about him having a hopeless crush over Dororo.

I havent watched SGT Frog in a while but like, I know. I know that Giroro is dedicated to the invasion (even though hes like. Growing softer in earth, but he doesnt like admitting that.) And I know about Dororo's wish to protect the earth and its inhabitants. So like when these two ideologies clash?? Between the two frogs??? And like, one of them has a crush on the other frog??? Faaantastic. Angst potential, or comedy potential.

In my mind: Giroro wants Dororo to take part in the invasion because he desperately doesnt want to be against Dororo- (most of which are involving multiple ridiculous shenanigans of attempting to have Dororo back on the team to invasion. Dororo shoots down every single one of them every single time).

Shy and pining Giroro is also a must. I want his romantic ass to make poetry about Dororo, I want him to also go through ridiculous amounts of bullshit when it comes to romamce.

I also want Keroro or Kururu roped into this, either

2. Giroro ruins the platoons plans because of his crush on Dororo.

Either could be one-sided or not, its really funny.

wow?? idk where the influx of keroro asks are coming from so i wanna drop in something that ive observed as someone who used to be into keroro but now has only seen like. a few episodes (granted like two years back I only finished up until 100 or something) and now I just see some random episodes sometimes.

i might be observing this wrong but wouldnt Natsumi (and maybe any of the kids as well around keroro and his platoon's vicinity) be... affected (i mean not like how canon does it) but more so in terms of psychological damage???

Okay to me its a lot prevalent with Natsumi but I think she NEARLY DIES like once or twice because of the platoon's shenannigans. Do you remember that there was a disease that was used to kill specifically Natsumi?

What about that one uuuh weird episide where Natsumi and Keroro were stuck in some room with several models of themselves and like while they were about to escape some um water i guesd flooded into the room but keroro managed to escape but Natsumi was stuck there for like MAYBE A FEW FUCKING HOURS?? MINUTES??? HOW LONG WAS KERORO PASSED OUT IDK.

All Im saying is that I wish that people were more aware that these frogs can and will put these kids in danger, though idk what kinds of dangers that fuyuki experienced since im more focused on Natsumi.

LIKE. its a comedy series aimed at children so the canon answer is always going to be No they’re all fine. but to ME keroro is NOT a comedy series it is a GRIPPING CHARACTER DRAMA and NO ONE here is FINE. like those kids genuinely go through some insane shit and aki doesn’t give much of a fuck bc she’s quirky (i think realistically she would give more of a fuck like she’s not the best mom what with the “leaving her 13-14 year old daughter to be head of the household 85% of the time” but she Tries but again, comedy series for kids) . look natsumi hinata goes through so much every day of her life and yoshizaki will never address it but i think about it all the time. she has so much on her plate already being put in the Classic Eldest Daughter Position and having so many expectations on her at school because everybody loves her and thinks she’s the best and coolest ever and then ALIENS SHOW UP AT HER FUCKING HOUSE and keep WRECKING EVERYTHING and she keeps getting told she’s “EARTH’S FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE” SHE IS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL ?

thank u so much for being critical of these past two episodes ive felt crazy about how much i just. didnt like them but im glad to know others feel the same way. i hate hate hate how they basically portrayed simon as "cured" after talking to golbetty because its so. it feels like such a deep diservice to everything they set up. its like these episodes were them yelling at us that "no actually, this is the moral" and simon isnt allowed to grieve or feel guilt or any other emotion and its jyust so. its so. i hated how it just treated everyone. it feels like in trying to tell a story about how betty deserved better they threw her under a bus repeatedly and robbed her of all agency. these last two episodes just felt so preachy and then ended up feeling like they were saying nothing at all... sorry for ranting in your inbox ive just been reading your posts and agree greatly with your criticisms. it just feels like the entire show has no weight at all and theres barely any growth or change. it feels like simon is at the same point he was in obsidian if that makes sense? and it felt like they went oh crap oh right we have to end this and made a big ball of junk. anyways sorry again for rambling im not a hater i liked the show im just supremely dissapointed

they fucked up both simon and betty soooooooo so bad!!!!!!!!!! they have all this setup of simon having some very very deep mental issues and then he’s Pretty Much All Better for Literally No Reason At All. the moral of the story is wow he fucked up bad! the moral of the story is he actually DID need to just move on! from the love of his life from the person whose memory he clung to when he otherwise completely lost his mind and identity from the person who made an unfathomably large sacrifice in order to save him one that hangs over his head constantly!!! He just needed to GET OVER IT!!!!!

And they come in. Act like Betty had no agency. Lik she was not a grown woman making her own decisions on purpose. Like she needed Simon to make the right decisions for her. And they SURE AS HELL DONT FOLLOW THIS UP BY GIVING HER AGENCY. We finally see GOLBetty. And for what? For her to explain to Simon like a child how he fucked up. And then leave. And that’s literally it.

And they spend the episodes just…… spelling everything out as clearly and deliberately as possible in the dialogue! God forbid we utilize subtlety and allow the viewer to figure out important details via any other method than characters explicitly stating what the point is!!!!

God….. yeah……. i loved that show, overall. but what was the point of it, in the end. all of that was for nothing. in what way is simon not pretty much just back where he started. we don’t get to see it.

I'm so sad and so angry. I was really hoping the message would be anything besides "it's too late for second chances. you messed up too badly for things to ever get better." That just... hurts. It also denies Betty any autonomy and feels way too harsh on both of them. Why doesn't Betty get a chance to live life on her own terms now? (Why not ask her what she wants -- does she want to stay fused with golb, be human again, stay with Simon and work on their issues, go off exploring on her own for a while?) Why is she ONLY there to bash a lesson into Simon's head and leave? Why doesn't the story value her as a character with an arc that NEVER GOT PROPERLY FINISHED?

I DONT HAVE MUCH TO ADD TO THIS ITS JUST SO FUCKING TTRUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i was honestly so hard rooting for an ending that was like. simon & betty do NOT get back together but they have the chance to WORK ON THEMSELVES SEPERATELY AND INDEPENDENTLY and MAYBE SOMEDAY THEY CAN TRY AGAIN BUT THATS NOT THE FOCUS OF THEIR LIVES NOW.

Instead they kind of just said. Sorry! Both of you made Some Bad Choices Sometimes In Some Parts Of Your Lives, and now you can never ever try to make things right again. There is no chance. Simon you do literwlly just have to accept that she’s gone and move on and that’s it. And as for Betty,. Uhhhhhhhhh. Go someplace else for no reason bye

3 favorite headcanons: stares at you sadly. i don’t have ok ko headcanons. i can’t think of any. i always have trans headcanons for everything but that’s just different unless i have something particularly meaningful to say about what it means for That Character To Be Transgender. i stopped having many “i think this character likes this show/this music/this food/these clothes/secretly keeps a scrapbook of different shades of white painted walls” type headcanons when i stopped being a kid and i don’t know why. i DO like transgender enid. mmmm. real magic skeleton has played every final fantasy game and has Opinions on all of them. AND DENDY TEACHES FINK HOW TO MOD VIDEO GAMES i forgot i had that one in my head it’s special to me

3 least favorite things about it: i think it’s really sad how rushed the whole last season & the ending had to be since the show got cut off so early. it is definitely noticeable. But other than that I cant think of anything right now? it’s not a perfect show but it’s still a good one and there just … if a flaw doesnt really frustrate me i tend to forget it. i wish there was more elodie and more time after big reveal for all in the villainy-style K.O.’s Awkward Weekends At His Dad’s episodes and i wish we got fink backstory. Fionna & cake’s very interesting interpersonal conflict is just kind of Over. the cause (fionna worrying about cake’s safety because that’s her CAT vs cake being excited about her independence and feeling like she can take care of herself) is not mentioned again, and the most recent direct subject (making the world magical and changing everyone vs keeping it as it is but cake is either out of place or has to lose her independence) turns out to be kind of a moot point. Everyone just,. Gets what they want. There’s not any like. Emotionally resounding resolution to Fionna’s arc of trying to be a hero, being a hero wrong, being upset that she’s doing it wrong, feeling like she messes everything up, it’s just not. like. revisited. properly.

That man clearly has some Deep Seated Issues and they basically just go. Yep he definitely has emotional problems! in a way more simple and straightforward way than they have ever done so far. anyway im really, really, not mad that someone doesn’t know this. i’m mad that we are at a point where transandrophobia can be a better known term than transmisogyny, transmisogyny being the term for the specific intersection of transphobia and misogyny that transfem people experience on a societal and structural level, and transandrophobia being a term that completely misunderstands the point of the term transmisogyny and which i mainly see used by trans guys who at best don’t care to meaningfully learn about transmisogyny and at worst are actively and sometimes violently perpetuating it. i have reblogged so many posts about this, especially recently.

i’m very much not mad at that person for Not Knowing, they were asking questions completely in good faith about something they didn’t know and were interested in the answer. which is a good thing. it was a good and productive conversation i saw in the replies of the last post i reblogged before posting that screenshot. i was upset because “transmisogyny? is that like transandrophobia for trans women?” is… like, it’s a perfect parody of the way things are stolen from trans women while trans women themselves are pushed to the sidelines and talked over. i am mad, not at a specific person, but that it is possible for a person to be in a position where they have a complete understanding of what transandrophobia is supposed to mean but are so unfamiliar with transmisogyny they don’t even recognize the word. especially because transmisogyny, which has always been a problem, has become an even more pronounced problem recently, and i am just so sick and tired of it.

its been a while since i last saw any p5 so my memories and opinions are distorted now but what i do know is every time i rewatch kaneshiro arc & makotos confidant i get really really worked up over What Could Have Been with her. all of the pieces are there and sometimes they’re put together correctly but sometimes they……… really drop the ball….. waste their opportunities……. Her awakening would have been better if it was actually against an Authority Figure Over Her (like the principal whatever his name was. kobayakowa? That doesn’t seem right.) instead of someone whose “control” over her was DIFFERENT from the “control” she was actually MAD about. the entire premise of her confidant is flawed, it should have been a completely different storyline because *she should have gotten to be wrong.* AND WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO WANT TO BE A COP- anyway makoto niijima is a fantastic and interesting character who got sorely fucking underutilized . Save her!!!!!!!!!!

The manga is great & the anime………… just straight up managed to write the exact opposite message overall of what the manga had been aiming for but im glad the anime was my first exposure to soul eater and i didnt read the manga until a couple years ago cause how crona’s story goes in that might have fucked me up a little bit. I owe them everything. We soul bonded through the greasy screen of my little android tablet and if crona ever stops being vitally important to me you will know I have died. Also I for some reason have it hard wired into my dna to not like romantic crona/maka One Bit so that makes going into tags kind of awkward for me but what can ya do
