#beetlejuice#adam maitland#barbara maitland#lydia deetz#beetlejuice musical#im out here making my awful headcanons#but ya know what im fine with it#look they have problems being scary on purpose dont tell me they wouldnt get absolutely horrifying for lyds#if lydia ever got into any serious danger with someone the maitlands didnt trust you better believe theyd be scaring them out the door#movie maitlands tried so hard to be scary and failed bc they couldnt be seen#im not sure about the musical#but part of me likes to imagine that once bj’s name gets said three times by a living person the maitlands can be seen too by proximity#so the maitlands are basically free to exist in the house and be seen#so whenever lyds brings someone over theyre so excited to meet them#and if drama goes down lyds brings it to her place bc she knows the maitlands are there for her#when barbara hears whats up adam has to hold her back but even hes a lil upset#they ask her to bring the other person home to.... chat and shes like ohohoooo fuckin kay#bc shes still kind of a devillish type even adter what happened with bj#next day charles and delia hear from their neighbors that one of lydia’s ‘friends’ came out of the house crying#and they just look at each other like... yeah that was probably our daughter and her ghost parents#okay ill shut up now#but like UGH my brain is leaking ideassssssssss#i should seriously just write something already but im not feeling fully confident yet
