This fuckbag of a provincial government has effectively removed our right to collective bargaining, a constitutional right stated in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and is consciously keeping our lowest paid education workers at or below the poverty line. This is what happens when people don't fucking vote.

#fuck the ontario conservatives #ford can say he's 'for the little guy' all he fucking wants #we know he's for his buddies and biggest financial donors #he illegally forces a contract on ed workers and then abuses the notwithstanding clause to prevent taking him to court #the notwithstanding clause is only meant for DIRE circumstances #and this is THIRD time he's used it #he's using it like candy while simultaneously ripping up our constitution and using it as toilet paper #this sets such a fucking dangerous precedent #it means that whenever a union doesn't do what he wants he'll just legislate a contract and use the NWS clause to force it #where's the fucking 'freedom convoy' now????#this doesn't just affect CUPE workers #this affects EVERYONE #reminder that ford is also a coward who didn't show up to question period about this #also reminder that only 18% of eligible ontario voters voted for him #but because we had abysmal voter turnout last election he got a MEGA MAJORITY #you need to fucking VOTE #ok im done ranting #im WFH tomorrow bc all the schools will be closed #bc we cant function without the ed workers obvs #yet ford wont pay them a living wage and is removing our rights
