Episode 14 - "This will be a fun finish" ~Amy

I'm so sorry Colin. I really thought you'd play your idol. I didn't mean to send you home, just weaken you. I was hoping to pick between Amy and Elle to send out 😬

Wait so Amy just told me they swapped the votes last minute on Anastasia, so she would've gotten 3 votes or something. Did nobody catch on that she had immunity then?

Ahahahahaha fuck Colin somehow went home and it's partly my fault but it was a mix of a mess. Colin really believed jodi and jared were voting with him to get josh which seemed odd from the start. I have been talking and I think I know or as much as I can. I was the sole vote on jodi lol but I didn't get the memo to do anastasia until 859 and didn't have time to switch so I thought it would still be okay but somehow elle colin and I all voted differently lol whoopsies. Now I'm told jared used his idol on jodi but if Josh knee we were split I don't think he did. I think anastasia actually voted colin with Josh and Jared. Anastasia And jodi aren't budging that they voted elle so I guess jared could have given her the necklace to get colin. I am just so mad I didn't vote the same as elle 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm hoping josh believes elle used an idol so he votes with me and elle. I might need to use my steal this go and that would get it to 3-3 minimum and if Josh voted with me it would be 4-3 but I think Jared still has his idol. I am legit so sad about colin like I obviously flipped to save him and legit wanted him to win and I would come in second lol now I'm worried I won't make it bc Jodi is spreading I have an idol and obviously josh wanted to flush idols last round that's why he did that. I know hosht wants anastasia in his f3 but I'm just hoping he wants jared and or jodi out more but I think he wants me and elle out ☠️ the fact is if jared still has his idol he's safe now but he need to make it seem like we are voting him. I'm just so confused about the last one hahahaha I was going around asking like I'm not mad just confused lol. Nothing. This round really scares me because playing in the middle could really come back to haunt me. I wouldnt mind Jared leaving then i could have a better chance of winning immunity but at the same time all these advantages and Elle’s potential idol scare me. Jared revealed that i was the one who flipped last round but im reassuring her that it was just to flush idols.

My brain wheels are turning and Im realizing how scary this round is. Me Jared or Jodi will probably be leaving unless we play exactly right. There is a steal a vote so we cant split vote... So we would have to vote either Amy or Elle and pray they dont have an idol. Also Josh is with us now yayy!! I am not sure what to do. I wanted to do a 3-2-1 on Elle and Anastasia, but it's so risky as Amy essentially can control what the outcome of this vote is. Elle and I had a weird call. they said that they "expected to self destruct in the early merge", and "feel free to vote" for them, they "don't really want to win". That's practically code word for "I'm going to idol you out of this game". Also, I studied the Stings series wiki to see that Colin has idoled before in a previous invisible round, so that's why I thought he'd idol here. I also realized after revisiting that today might actually be a reward challenge for information from the invisible round, since that's also what happened in that same season. We must be there for tonight, it's only 10 minutes (according to Amy) but heck, we got a plan anyways.

Wow, my first written confessional! This is only because my video confessionals will take too long to upload, and I'd hate for Raffy to give me a strike. Anyways, things got messy today but the plan right now is to split votes between Amy and Elle. The goal is for one of them to go home while also getting an idol out of the game. The reason things got messy was because we originally proposed a 3-2-1 plan to Amy, but realized (1) she wasn't fully on board with us and (2) that we couldn't burn Anastasia like that in having her be the decoy vote. If Amy is actually with us, she's going to be pissed if she's still in and realized we lied to her yet again. If Amy isn't actually with us and is leaking our discussion to others to try to redirect the target to us, then clearly I don't feel as bad.

So final plan is 2-2-2 Elle Amy (whomever) if vote stolen, it means Amy isn't with us, we vote 3 Amy Very high chance I get idoled out here, but this is about as much as I can plan. Last time I got voted out, I tried to play so perfect. So perfect I didn't get a vote. Not getting a vote ended my game ☠️ We'll see.

After 5 minutes, they were allowed to play advantages if they wanted to. Elle chose to play their Vote Steal on Anastasia. For this round, a Vote Steal would immune the person it was used against. Additionally, this person would not be able to vote or have a say in the discussion. The group was given an additional 5 minutes. During the discussion, everyone except Elle (who wanted to go to rocks) said they would vote Elle. Then, when the vote was announced, the tribe instead went to rocks as it was not unanimous. 3 Playoff teams seem obvious. Who do the numbers see as No. 4?

Who’s got the inside track at the fourth spot, as well as the rest of the New Year’s Six games?

With a week to go before the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season are unveiled, we have a pretty good idea of where things stand: Alabama’s likely the clear No. 1 team at the moment, Clemson’s a clear No. 2, Notre Dame’s a clear No. 3, Michigan and LSU are next in some order, and we’ve got a bit of a soup after that.

That’s all fine and dandy. But it doesn’t tell us much about how things are going to end.

A quick reminder: In 2014, Mississippi State was given the No. 1 ranking in the first CFP rankings. The Bulldogs missed the playoff, and Ohio State (16th in in the initial rankings) won the title. The last few years have been more orderly, thanks mostly to the omnipresence of Bama and Clemson, but this is a sport that tends to throw some plot twists at us.

Minnesota was in the middle of an all-time great dynasty then, but I still enjoy the fact that the first AP No. 1 was Minnesota, the first BCS No. 1 was UCLA and the first CFP No. 1 was Mississippi State, as everyone would surely guess.

Is this a year for plot twists? A year where we should expect the unexpected down the stretch? Well ... no. But read anyway!

Using S&P+ win projections as our guide (you can find the complete set of win projections in my stat profile hub), let’s go through the odds for all the primary contestants for both CFP slots and bids to the New Year’s Six bowls.

We’ll start with the three remaining power-conference unbeatens.

These projections are only for the regular season. If you add a conference title game against the highest-ranked potential champion in the opposite division, Alabama has a 66 percent win probability against Georgia, and Clemson has a 74 percent chance against Miami. So that means there’s about a 34 percent chance of Alabama reaching the finish line at 13-0, 41 percent for Clemson.

The good news for chaos lovers is that means there’s only about a 14 chance of both of them finishing unbeaten. Everybody tends to lose a game, even Bama.

Still, there’s also about a 40 percent chance that they both finish with either zero or one losses. And it’s safe to say they’re probably each in as one-loss teams.

Notre Dame still has its work cut out. The Irish don’t have a conference title game to worry about and have a 31 percent chance of reaching 12-0. At this rate, they’re probably in at 11-1, too — lots of teams will lose down the stretch — and there’s a 73 percent chance they lose one game at most. So their CFP odds are quite good.

There’s at least one more playoff spot up for grabs, though, and history tells us it’ll probably come from a pool of one-loss power conference teams. Here they are:

With so many teams losing over the last couple of weeks, Oklahoma is back in prime Playoff position despite the loss to Texas. The Sooners are up to third in S&P+ (first on offense, naturally) and have at least a 69 percent win probability in each remaining game. On a neutral field in the Big 12 title game, they’d have an 81 percent chance of winning a rematch against Texas and a 74 percent chance of beating WVU. Winning out is hard, but the Sooners have the best shot among the pool of one-loss teams.

There’s only about a 14 chance of both Alabama and Clemson finishing unbeaten through conference title games.

Other thoughts:

Michigan-Ohio State on November 24 could very well be an eliminator. OSU has a 42 percent chance of winning out between now and then, and Michigan is at 60 percent, 87 percent if the Wolverines get past PSU on November 3. The winner would be favored in the Big Ten title game (UM would have about a 68 percent chance, OSU about 58 percent), too.

Georgia-Florida on this coming Saturday is also an eliminator. With a win in Jacksonville, UGA’s odds of finishing 11-1 would rise to 42 percent, and Florida’s would rise to 31 percent. Obviously, the winner would probably then have to beat Alabama in Atlanta. I’m not saying the odds are great here. But the loser’s out.

LSU’s schedule is relentless. The Tigers have already taken on five teams in the current S&P+ top-20 and have beaten four of them. Their reward is a November 3 date with Bama. Win that, and they still have to win at Texas A&M (S&P+ has it as a relative tossup) over Thanksgiving before the SEC Championship. So yeah, their CFP odds still aren’t great.

There are still plenty of scenarios we could draw up that get someone unique like Iowa, Wazzu, WVU, Kentucky, or Texas in the field. But they’re all pretty big longshots, to put it lightly.

So we could pretty definitively list the primary Playoff contenders as follows:

1-2. Alabama and Clemson 3. Notre Dame 4. Oklahoma 5. The Michigan-Ohio State winner 6. The Georgia-Florida winner 7. Everyone else

This might not be the most thrilling race, but luckily, college football has tiers of drama.

We can also speculate on where the NY6 bowl slots go!

Obviously a three-loss team can sneak into the New Year’s Six field, and any of the above teams could land in the NY6.

But which of the current two-loss teams is most likely to finish with two losses?

The odds of a Washington-Utah rematch in the Pac-12 title game are pretty good at this point, and UW would be favored in that game by about five points (win probability: 62 percent). Obviously Wazzu still has a role, and the Pac-12 South could still get super messy, but this is your most likely title game.

That leaves about three more slots, including the Playoff’s near-miss teams, and teams like Miami, Wisconsin, and this weekend’s Penn State-Iowa winner are in pretty good shape.

So what about the Group of 5?

As noted on College GameDay this past weekend, UCF might be in the driver’s seat, but the Knights are far from safe. Yes, if they win out, they would — when taking last year’s run into account — have as good a shot as any G5 team at a CFP bid, especially if/when that fourth spot starts to get blurrier.

I’ll be frank, though: I don’t think the committee ever takes a G5 team seriously. I’ll happily admit I’m wrong if they ever choose to do so, but even with last year’s run, I don’t think an unbeaten UCF tops about sixth in the CFP rankings. Unfair? Massively. But that’s my opinion.

Odds are not in favor of UCF winning out, though.

The AAC — the East division, especially — is loaded with land mines. The Knights barely survived a trip to Memphis unbeaten, and they still have to face West contenders Temple and Cincinnati at home and volatile-as-ever (and still unbeaten, for now) USF on the road.

Surviving all that, withstanding always-tricky Navy (which isn’t nearly as good as normal this year) and then beating the AAC East champion (probably Houston) without a blemish will be awfully tough. S&P+ says there’s only a 30 percent chance of getting to the title game unscathed, and their win probability at home against UH would be about 67 percent, which cuts their odds of 12-0 down to about 20 percent.

And if they lose, then all hell could break loose in the G5 race.

Appalachian State, Fresno State, and Utah State have all looked mostly fantastic — each suffered only road blemishes against Big Ten teams (and while Fresno’s loss to Minnesota is sketchy, App and USU lost super-tight games to good teams) — and Buffalo has rolled through the non-Army portion of its schedule.

The odds of at least one of them finishing with just one loss are good, and depending on where UCF’s hypothetical loss comes, the résumés would be awfully comparable.

Unless Florida State beats Clemson or LSU beats Bama, we probably won’t see the most chaotic CFP race this year.

But there are plenty of lesser surprises ahead. So there’s that, at least.

In one of the matches of the upper bracket of the ESL One Cologne 2019 will meet the team of Heroic and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Which one will win? The forecast used the line and the odds the bookmaker EGB.com.

Heroic

In the camp of the Danish heroes this is a difficult time. On the one hand, the team pleased fans with his progress, and on the other they are still somewhat unstable and now behind them is no coach. Yes, the Brazilian specialist has left his players without support just a day before the start of the event, so the captain of the Danes lies a dual responsibility.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

Swedish “ninjas in pajamas” took the course to update the roster, as their camp came Plopski seventeen-year-old, who replaced Dennis-a. This step may be one of the elements of the plan to replace the legendary GeT_RiGhT, however, the official statements did not exist, so our thoughts are just thoughts. One thing is clear — Christopher Alesund holds one of the last events at the mill NIP, so we have the right to expect from him and his teammates increased motivation.

And so it happened — “ninja” confidently sprayed on the components of the great Frenchmen of Vitality, however Plopski showed himself not at its best, but no one expected special feats. Of course, the game is NIP is still rife with failures, take their attack on Dust 2, but the team should not be discounted as a huge experience “bisons” team can give them additional support.

To fight against the Danes, NIP suitable as small favorites, but this advantage can not be taken into account, given the form of “heroes”. In my opinion, the “ninja” wants to show his skill on Inferno, as the Nuke is likely to be banned, and the other polished maps in the Swedish map-pool is almost none.

Statistics

Heroic. 16 place ranking. One defeat in five matches.

NIP. 14 in the world rating. Four defeats and a victory.

Forecast

I expect a match of uncompromising struggle, as the current condition of the opponents are almost on the same level. I think the superiority of the NIP is somewhat exaggerated, therefore, the rate on Heroic can be a good option, but I would prefer to take a total from the BC EGB because the match has a great chance to go the full distance. My prediction — total goals over 2.5 cards from the bookmaker EGB.com.

The degenerate’s guide to 2017 college football TV watch ‘em ups: week 10

The season seems to be accelerating beyond our control at this point.

Now that CFP polls have been released and the World Series is over there’s nothing much to distract from all of the football. Yeah, there’s basketball now but the season is so young and there’s so far to go to even know who’s actually good that it seems weird to put much stock in it just yet.

This week’s watch ‘em ups are being affected by the same thing that hurt the RTARLsman last night: the ever-dreaded out of town visitors. We’ll see how much I’m even able to watch football as “friends” count on me to “host” them and make their weekend “enjoyable.” Gross.

RTARL Game of the Year! It’s finally here and the winless Baylor Bears are an 8-point favorite. Which means Kansas is probably the worst team in college football, yet again.

I wouldn’t trust Houston as a 24.5 point favorite but this could be a nice statistical opportunity for Ed Oliver. East Carolina is a very bad team that throws an average of 39 passes per game.

Florida at Missouri Noon ESPN2

Randy Shannon has a great chance to build up his resume a little this week in his first game as UF head coach. First of many games, I presume. Hey, if Ed Orgeron can hang on at LSU then why not Shannon, who probably received some coaching from Orgeron back in 1988 and had a much better record at his previous coaching failure? Missouri is actually favored right now because Florida has been that messy but I think a slightly above average high school team from the state of Florida could beat the Tigers if they really concentrated for three straight hours.

Illinois at Purdue Noon BTN

It turns out that Jeff Brohm might need just a touch of seasoning before he moves on to a much better job. OR!!! Maybe he really is on track to take over for Bobby Petrino in Louisville. He’s right on track for that if Petrino goes looking for greener pastures this year. Or now. Or has already accepted several jobs while trying to figure out which one he actually wants.

Kansas State at Texas Tech Noon FS1

This is a bad game between two middling Big XII teams but for gambling purposes, maybe not so bad? Over/under is at 63 right now but the weather looks pretty inviting and it is a Big XII game with Coach Heartthrob on one side of the field.

(7) Penn State at (24) Michigan State Noon FOX

If Sparty can contain the nation’s 26th leading rusher, who fittingly wears #26, they might have a shot to spring the upset. I hope that anybody associated in any way with the Penn State football program spends the rest of their lives laden with guilt for whatever part they’ve played in the continued existence of said program but I really hope it’s the players and coaches who are feeling bad about themselves this week. There’s a lot of money on Penn State right now and Vegas is still trying to get people to bet Michigan State so what’s the rule here? Let’s go with stay away from the public money and put your faith in a kind universe that is also rooting for the green and white this week.

UMass at (16) Mississippi State Noon SECN

The best tight end in the country takes on the worst top 20 team in the country, something’s got to give! UMass is going to get throttled. That’s what’s going to give.

(9) Wisconsin at Indiana Noon ABC

Indiana doesn’t have much, either as a state or as a football team, but they do a decent job of shutting down the run. Wisconsin is due for a reckoning. Seems like a good time for those two things to converge, no? No. Jonathan Taylor is like Rashaad Penny but twice as fast and Wisconsin should beat the spread for once even though it’s on a rapid rise throughout the week. 13.5 points right now, I’d take the Badgers up to about 18 and feel OK with it.

WKU at Vanderbilt Noon ESPNU

Vanderbilt is a 10-point favorite playing at home but Western Kentucky might be a better team. My voice is going up at the end of the sentence in my head. Might be true? I don’t think so but it’s not crazy?

Syracuse at Florida State 12:20 pm ACCN

FSU settled for a field goal at the end of the first half against Boston College last week and the players on the FSU sidelines took that as a signal the game was over. The offensive line being terrible was actually known before the season but the supposedly ultra-talented defense has looked like garbage most of the year, too. Derwin James looks like a Jabrill Peppers clone to me at this point and the QB situation is not great in Tallahassee. Now the running backs are starting to get hurt, too. Odds are that Florida State is just having extremely bad luck, similar to Notre Dame in 2016, but getting run over by Boston College isn’t really acceptable even in the midst of that.

Appalachian State at ULM 3:00 pm ESPN3

Appy State as a 10-point road favorite might be a little dicey but that 61.5 O/U is interesting. It’s supposed to rain the day before so the field might be soggy but ULM has a tremendously bad defense that could easily give up 60 all on their own.

Georgia State at Georgia Southern 3:00 pm ESPN3

GSU is definitely going to win this. Fun Belt action at its finest!

Georgia Tech at Virginia 3:00 pm RSN

UVA has turned back into UVA over the past couple of weeks but they were so good at pretending to be decent earlier in the season that this game has postseason implications! On this day, 27 years ago, UVA lost their two-week reign as the #1 team in college football when they dropped in both the AP and UPI polls following a last second loss to Georgia Tech at home. Fun fact about that game: the game was played on turf borrowed from the baseball stadium after vandals set fire to the football field’s regular turf. UVA’s season fell apart after that and Georgia Tech won half of a national championship by blowing out Nebraska in a bowl game, as was the tradition for teams winning national championships at the time. Getting back to this year’s game, if UVA loses and Miami beats Virginia Tech tonight, Miami wins the Coastal division. And UVA should lose.

New Mexico State at Texas State 3:00 pm ESPN3

A Sun Belt rivalry classic as the Aggies and the Bobcats battle it out for fourth worst team in the conference.

My only thought on this is that I always think of Rice as a Big XII team. This is incorrect.

USF at UConn 3:00 pm ESPNU

USF blew a shot at a big, fancy bowl payout last week against Houston but UConn is a lot worse than Houston so let’s see how Charlie Strong gets his team motivated this week. If they hold it together for the rest of the year it’s still possible for them to end up as the lower conference rep in the former BCS bowls.

Army at Air Force 3:30 pm CBSSN

The Commander-in-Chief’s trophy is maybe up for grabs? Vegas still thinks Army is bad but they’ve won four in a row. Air Force has three in a row of their own and they’re favorited by 6.5 points at home but I’m not 100% clear on why AFA is that big of a favorite. 3 points maybe, just for being at home, but this is a full tilt option on option affair that should be down to the wire. Also, the O/U of 56 seems comically low to me. When Air Force and Navy played the final score was 48-45 in basically the same conditions.

Charlotte at Old Dominion 3:30 pm ESPN3

Amazingly enough Baylor and Kansas is actually worse than this.

This will of course be the game where Will Grier looks like a future all-pro. Things never happen when you want them to happen.

In terms of pure entertainment value this is way worse than Baylor and Kansas but I think both of these teams would be favored over either of those teams. And that’s not meant as a compliment to either of these teams.

South Carolina at (1) Georgia 3:30 pm CBS

Georgia can win and clinch the SEC East but if they lose then South Carolina is in the running to steal the division. Has any SEC team in your life ever been perceived so poorly while being 6-2 as this South Carolina team? NC State, also 6-2, lost their season opener to South Carolina and it’s considered a bad loss. We are in some sort of transitional period here.

(4) Clemson at (20) NC State 3:30 pm ABC

So much depends on the QB position here. Both QBs are going to have guys in their faces all game long and it’s going to be interesting to see how they each handle things. My gut says this is going to be low scoring and close until the end with Clemson not getting anywhere close to the rushing output Notre Dame got against the Wolfpack last week.

Bryce Love is a “gametime decision” again which probably means he’s not playing again and even though he’s injured I’m still blaming David Shaw for taking that little bit of sunshine away from us.

Another week another ACC opponent traveling from North Carolina to get blown the fuck out by Notre Dame. I have a very bad feeling about the way this season is shaping up.

I only mean I have a bad feeling about the Notre Dame being very good thing, though! I love Tulane getting to the middle of the pack on their way to conference contention in the coming years.

Remember last week in the second quarter when twitter fired Bret Beilema? I liked that moment more than when they came back and won even though they were beating the racist south.

(5) Oklahoma at (11) Oklahoma State 4:00 pm FS1

BEDLAM!!!!!!!!! I think the matchup here actually favors OK State heavily in spite of the 2.5 point spread and the history and the fact that Oklahoma is the better overall team. I just think the Pokes have their strengths at exactly the points where the Sooners are weakest. Cue the final OU 73, OSU 12 but I’ve got a real hunch here and I’m giving it to you.

University of Mississippi, Oxford at Kentucky 4:00 pm SECN

Mississippi was mighty impressive in blowing a 31-7 lead against Arkansas last week but for some reason I don’t think they’re a solid bet this week.

UL Lafayette at South Alabama 4:00 pm ESPN3

I think USA is doing the same dumb thing they did last year where they start off terrible, win a bunch of games in a row, get some preseason hype to win the Sun Belt then maybe go through the process again.

Oregon State at California 5:00 pm Pac-12N

Transitive property game of the week! The Antifa Bears will probably beat the Huckabeavs by 20 points and people will point at Stanford and laugh for last week’s stupid game but the results will really not be corollary at all.

Utah State at New Mexico 5:30 pm ATTSNRM

The Sheriff Lobos are favored by 4 in an extremely low stakes game that carries basically no implications for bowl bids or the MWC standings. This is what degeneracy looks like!

Hawaii at UNLV 6:00 pm MWN/Spectrum PPV

Regardless of other options there is something very aesthetically displeasing about where UNLV plays and I never check on them because of it. It’s like the when the Rams were in St. Louis and the Edward Jones Dome made every game look like a high school championship being played on an Arena league field.

Colorado State at Wyoming 7:00 pm CBSSN

CSU had to go and get whipped by Air Force while Bad Josh Allen went out and looked good for a week. Now my preconceptions are a shambles. I think Allen probably pulls himself together just long enough to go to the Browns at #1 or #2 next year and then reverts to form for the rest of his life.

Nevada at Boise State 7:00 pm ESPNU

Look at Boise right back in the driver’s seat for the MWC title. They were in a similar position at this point last year, too, for what it’s worth but this is probably the least likely place for them to screw up this year. At home, vs. Nevada, a 22.5-point favorite, with their 2-QB system the new talk of the conference, Boise should roll like the old days.

UTSA at FIU 7:00 pm Stadium

Butch Davis coaching against the program that Larry Coker built isn’t really an interesting storyline but I dig the fuck out of it. Both teams are surprisingly 5-2, with FIU’s version of surprise more good surprise and UTSA’s more bad surprise but here we are with HUGE!!!! CUSA title race implications. Again, more so on the FIU side than the UTSA side.

Texas at (8) TCU 7:15 pm ESPN

TCU ain’t shit. Texas isn’t, either, but Texas isn’t ranked highly. If the 7 point line and the 47 point O/U are confusing you then let me tell you that I don’t get it, either. This is nominally a defensive struggle in the making but let’s not kid ourselves on what we have here: a Big XII game happening in perfect weather under the bright lights.

(18) UCF at SMU 7:15 pm ESPN2

UCF scores a shit ton of points and Scott Frost is the anointed next great CFB coach but I’m not really ready to buy the book on them. SMU doesn’t exactly play defense but I’ve still got a feeling that they can run with UCF and at the very least keep things close. A 14.5-point line on the road for UCF seems a tad excessive given how low this program was in the very recent past.

Minnesota at Michigan 7:30 pm FOX

The posted lines for this game are hilariously B1G. Michigan is favored by 15.5 in a game with an O/U set at 41. So 28-13 or thereabouts is the expectation. I think the obits for the Harbaugh era in Michigan are crazily overblown here in year 3. If we’re still wondering why the offense sucks in 2019 then it’s probably too late for him but until then I think he’s got a shot to make his juggernaut yet.

Southern Miss at Tennessee 7:30 pm SECN

Butch Jones, on the other hand... This guy is scum, an idiot, and a bad coach. That’s quite the triple threat! There was a time when UT being favored by 6.5 at home against Southern Miss would have made a lot of sense and not be an embarrassment for the Vols. 1989 was a long time ago, though, and for this program at this point in time, with all of this talk on the outside - things are looking grim.

UTEP at Middle Tennessee 7:30 pm beIN SPORTS

This year has been mostly a lost one for Richie James and the MTSU Blue Raiders but UTEP offers a decent shot at a blowout and could finally give James the kind of numbers he put up routinely last season.

(19) LSU at (2) Alabama 8:00 pm CBS

Leonard Fournette saw his numbers get worse every season against Alabama but Guice has a sneaky advantage over his predecessor - he’s only carried the ball twice ever against the Tide. Which seems weird considering how last season went but I don’t think anybody has considered LSU an offensive powerhouse or even nominally innovative on offense in quite some time. Matt Canada is making a bunch of money this year to be nominally innovative but there hasn’t been a lot to show for LSU’s money so far unless you count humiliating Mississippi. Big deal, though, even Bert can do that. Bama is favored by 21 and I don’t have a good reason for anyone to bet on LSU to beat the spread.

(13) Virginia Tech at (10) Miami, FL 8:00 pm ABC

This gambles action, though, this one I’ve got feelings for. Miami and Virginia Tech are really close in almost every metric you can find. As far as head-to-head matchups go the objective differences between these two are as slight as is possible to get. And still, somehow, VPISU is favored by 3 on the road and the consensus is heavily with the Hokies. Is it just the UNC thing? Because their other shared matchup (Duke) produced startlingly similar results. Is Vegas counting on Miami to run out of luck? That doesn’t seem to me the way numbers are supposed to work. The Hokies are statistically better on defense and the teams are about even on offense but the Hurricanes have produced more big plays on both sides of the ball. Maybe the lines are predicated on Malik Rosier being more injured than Miami is letting on? I think the Canes take it and clinch their first ACC Coastal crown on the way to getting beat up next week by Notre Dame.

Colorado at Arizona State 9:00 pm Pac-12N

Arizona State is, weirdly, still hanging around in the race for the Pac-12 South but they needed to beat USC last week for that chance to be realistic. They did not beat USC last week in any phase of the game. I hate Arizona State’s running game with a fiery passion and I hope the Buffs destroy them.

Oregon at (12) Washington 10:00 pm FS1

UDub is in a precarious spot as far as national title hopes go but they can still get a Pac-12 title and major bowl bid out of this season with no help from anybody else. Chances are that the loss to Arizona State will continue to just look like a fluke that ruined loftier aspirations.

San Diego State at San Jose State �� 10:30 pm ESPNU

Rashaad Penny is still plugging away as the second most productive running back in the country but SDSU has two losses and needs a lot of help to even make the MWC championship game. That’s not a reason to give up on watching them but the Pac-12 After Dark offering that’s up 15 minutes after this one is probably a way better use of your time.

(22) Arizona at (17) USC 10:45 pm ESPN

This is probably acting as the Pac-12 South championship game and with USC’s front 7 a little banged up it could also be the Khalil Tate “breakout” game. I don’t want to put my heart into Arizona too much here because the potential for USC to completely obliterate them seems credible but if Arizona does beat USC their next three games are extremely winnable.

BYU at Fresno State 10:45 pm ESPN2

Fresno State was looking like a pretty good surprise team in the MWC until they lost to a very bad UNLV team last week. Now things are looking a little rough for them with Wyoming and Boise State still on the schedule. Vegas likes the Bulldogs by a lot (-14.5) but I don’t know how you trust a team that lost to UNLV against anybody.

Daisy Hey Daisy, your vote off was more just about path of least resistance while also creating the best chance of someone winning a challenge against Drew. The path of least resistance part is because my goal final 5 after the Dani vote was Aqua/Jaze/Lexi/You/Myself because I felt I had the most control over what would have happened while having a strong shot at immunity. When Drew won immunity I truly believed taking you out would help ensure at some point Drew would lose immunity which he did the next round.

Your second part of your question was about me saying it "saved" you and several others. This is simply me not being able to explain things if I'm being honest. I should have said "forced drew to work with us, which would strengthen our alliance and help protect Steven and Lexi and Dani and Daisy." I cannot type or write to save my life, so again I'm sorry.

Now for compliments! (I'll do this in jury order) 1. Adrian: I truly admire your confidence in yourself and your ability to speak your mind regardless of where you are in the game. I usually try and refrain myself in tribe chats unless I am being spoken to or about and I think it's nice to see something different. 2. Dan: You seem very smart and dedicated to your studies. I have always struggled with school and every time someone has good attendance and always is studying is something I try to be more like. 3. You should vote for me because I believe even though I didn't play a "honest/kind game" I still believe I played a strong game. I used alliances to further myself, which is the point of an alliance. Every non game related conversation I had was genuine. I played this game to win and I spoke to people to make friends. I don't see why they have to be mutually exclusive.

I always try and separate personal relationships from games, which is something most don't accept/understand. Now for you question, I think the point of an alliance is for the betterment of each individual member of said alliance. But just because you have a majority alliance doesn't necessarily mean you are in the best spot in the game. I play these games to have fun, meet new people, and to try and win. And if I don't like my position in a game I will try and change my position by any means necessary. I won't sit here and spew how I played a noble and honorable game and that I never told a lie because that isn't the truth. I played this game hard from the moment it started and played it as best as I could. That's what should earn me your jury vote. Karen Hi Karen so this will a rather long answer but I truly hope you read it all. So I will just start off with the aspect of my nonexistent social game. I am not a "hello, how are you?" kind of person. In real life or on here. It's simply not who I am. If someone wants to tell me about their day I am all ears but I simply don't ask because I just assume if they want to talk about it then they will. And this isn't the case with everyone but that is me irl and here. If I am going to talk to you on here about nongame things then that is me trying my best to get to know someone. That's why I know about where people live and the schools they go to and the jobs they have and if they like their state and ect. I don't think, and never will claim, to have a strong social game, but I try my best.

I said this in my answer for another jury question; but I don't believe our jury responses have been released yet, My desired final 3 was Steven, Dani, and myself. Steven and Dani I get along with both socially and game wise and are people I felt comfortable going to the end with knowing they both were playing good games. When Dani got Steven voted out I realized I needed a new game plan and when I assessed the people left I saw several goats, and that's when I decided to try and bring 2 goats to the end. I don't believe I could have beaten drew or a few others at the end, so it was my best shot.

I agree with you that my gameplay wasn't amazing, it wasn't clean cut, and it wasn't very nice to my friends. I truly believe Drew played the best game this season and had he made it to the end he would deserve to win over everyone including myself. I think I played the best between the three, but I wont claim I played the best game this season no.

To you, and everyone else on the jury that I have hurt I am truly sorry. There isn't much more I can say other then I am deeply sorry for hurting you all, most of which I consider to be my friends. Adrian: Of course it faltered, especially when I caught ear of him wanting me out over Aqua. I had to trust him at final four, since he was my only chance of getting here. In short, yes, my loyalty to Seamus faltered for a small time near the end.

Now, From the time that you left, there were a few things that I did. I never really had a role in anything until the Karen vote. The Karen vote was good for my game for two reasons. 1, It took out an ally of someone who was bringing my name up, and 2, it decreased the target on my back and put it on Seamus as most people saw him as the person controlling it. When my votes didn’t appear, it looked like he was a liar, etc. Bur anyways, First Dani told me I was getting votes from Drew. Immediately I knew that Karen, Steven, Daisy, and Lexi would all have majority if Drew got them on board. So Seamus and Dani both said that we could use our Double votes to counteract it.

Seamus was a close ally of mine But our relationship wasn’t my only lifeline Dani and Jaze were two people who I was close to We voted together so our games would not go askew I made friends from back when we were on Tribes So going into merge I hoped to had positive vibes With those I could at least scope out a majority That way I would not leave, which would have been a pity (For me at least)

I DID IT I BEAT 15 DAYS I BEAT 13TH PLACE AND I MADE JURY AND PROBABLY MERGE I FEEL HOT

I'm so sad bc Dana has been the REALEST w me since day 1 and Mitchell lied to me about his idol so idek if I can fully trust him anymore and aaaaaah Looks like its me Mitchell Matt willow allie aro and whoever Mitch can pull over from the other tribe but I'm really sad my mom was idoled out its just not fair

i hate double tribals i really do especially if its one world since everyone has to say something to someone else in order to save their homies and ALLLL offense i still hate the small talk so like what else is there for me to do besides get ma plants and chill. so the round started off with willow trying to talk to me but then completely going missing but then talking to johnny (home boy af btw. squad in the house) about how she can save all the newbies using mitchell and danas vote which basically confirmed what i already knew of the old makiura alliance being tight. but that only leaves 2 people to get voted out and that is me or ryan which 1. duh and 2. not today satan. i quickly established ma thang with johnny even more so he can continue to give me info that i needed on the newbies like aro/zak having an idol to use on each other, lily having the makiura one, etc but it also got me thinking that maybe i should continue to try talking to the newbies cause they seem festive but then willow goes and lies so i said fuck dat. ryan and johnny made like 2 alliances with us on the same day which i high key didnt see the point of doing bottthhh but ya know be festive. they came up with this idea of splitting votes which i never like doing really since it is really sus af but i told them ayy great plan whatever just to make them not yell at me for not being alive but thEN! i was like this high key makes no sense to do??? so if there is a rat then im just going to stfu so no one can have tea on me and guess what. Well this has officially been the craziest episode whatever you can call it of the season. Jacob went home as planned after complete chaos with Willow. Basically she told him I was targeting him just because she felt bad and it's cute and all that she has a good heart, but seriously she needs to get it together before I vote her off too. I think I have a lot of enemies now, obviously Jacob voted me and RTP played an idol and saved his ass after somehow Mitchell and Dana got everyone to vote him which was wild. I am so sad about Dana it's unreal I loved that girl. Now I still have Mitchell who hopefully hasn't lost any faith in me after I told Willow he had the idol, oops, and then lied to him and said I didn't say that because I can't own up to anything I did. Right now I am cooking I think, I got numbers, Mitchell, Allie, Willow, Zak, Aro, and even Johnny, and hopefully when it comes down to it I will be at the tippy top of the alliance since I believe firmly I have close relationships with many of these people. I flushed two idols tonight btw, and Daisy who had one, so in my two tribal councils I've literally just triple flushed idols like a really stinky poo. Ryan is mad at me but is willing to play the game but I don't trust his ass really.

Final Confessional! I just got voted out, and I'm not actually very sad because i went out WITH A BANG and i'm on jury, where I will make it my mission to ruin lives. Effectively, nobody is this damn game can keep their mouth shut, which was both the best and worst part of this season. As I said in my last Conf., Matt was feeding us info, but basically fucked up that line of communication by getting himself caught as a snake. But about 2 hrs before tribal, Mitch and I get word that the other 5 on our tribe are splitting votes 3-2 for me to go out because they thought I could have an idol I guess. So at this point, Mitch and I were voting RTP and it looked like i was definitely goin. Mitch's idol wasn't going to be useful for us there, because even if he had given it to me (which he wouldn't have), there would have been a tie for him and RTP and his ass was grass at that point. So basically, we're tryin to think of options like 1.5hrs before tribal, and so Mitch and I just start goin nuts. OK-so at this point the four of us could just vote RTP. Then someone tells Lexi to also vote RTP, which she does. EXCEPT SOME FUCKER TELLS RTP TO PLAY HIS IDOL BECAUSE WE'RE ALL ABOUT TO VOTE HIS ASS OUT. LIKE OMG PLS EVERYONE HAVE SOME CHILL. So I know that Mitch has the idol, and i'm the only one on our tribe, so both he and RTP play idol, meaning that because Luca was asleep and voted me, my ass gets voted out. While I'm not sure how RTP found out he needed to play the idol, my best guess is Lex? Idk her well and she would be the most likely to be close to him and then just vote him as a cover for herself. Alternatively, some things were getting funky with the other tribe, where basically Matt and Willow (who was also being fed info by Johnny. like what?) also knew how desperately Mitch and I were trying to save me, and so maybe they reached out to RTP for some odd reason. Am I happy? NO. But also I was so problematique tonight and really caused a problem, which is absolutely my aesthetic and i wouldn't have played it any other way. So, peace out Solomon, get ready for your most vocal juror. Please Mitch- you better be dancin and win this.

I won my first individual immunity !!! *screams* I didn't think I'd actually win this one but yay. I'm excited but I'm also really worried, people say I'm good at challenges and this win is definitely gonna put a bigger target on my back. It doesn't help that we tried to vote out Ryan either, cause obviously we are gonna have some trust issues now, we're still working together cause he says it's fine but he could just be saying that. It was weird having to talk to someone after voting them, usually the people I vote go home so this was the first time I had to talk to someone and try and fix the relationship and be like it was nothing personal.
