So, I can't say I feel much of anything reading this weeks leaks.

I'm not shocked that Shigaraki died, nor would I be surprised if his death is taken back next chapter and he gets brought back to life in some way.

The thing is despite people saying Shigaraki dying messes with the themes of the story the themes have always been more then a little shaky. IDK if it's just a difference in culture, but Hori has a way of setting something up as being a big deal/theme and then doing something that completely contradicts it.

It's really no surprise he might have killed off most of the villains including Shigaraki despite setting the story up in a way where saving villains seemed to be a theme. He did the same thing with self-sacrifice being portrayed as bad, but later showing it as good.

I will say I don't necessarily agree with how some people are framing Shigaraki's death as throwing abuse victims under the bus. I do get the frustration because Hori did focus a lot of how Shigaraki was used by AfO and in a lot of stories that would be used to absolve him of guilt for all the destruction he caused. But Hori never had Shigaraki change his mind. His last words are him continuing to wish he could have destroyed more and wanting Izuku to relay to Spinner he never stopped fighting for destruction.

I think if this had been a more thought out and focused story you really could make it a great tragedy. It feels unfair that he couldn't be saved, that despite Izuku's effort, at the end of the day Shigaraki wasn't able to break away from the destruction he was manipulated and groomed into believing.

In that way I can understand the anger of some fans, because the story is essentially a tragedy framed as a simply triumphant narrative. It always felt like it wanted to have some deep meaning, and always seemed on the verge of it, but never stuck the landing. The one thing I've always been left wondering is: what is Hori trying to say with this story?, and IDK if the ending, given what's on the page right now will really give me an answer.

If anything I think perhaps Hori was trying to say to much at once. I'm sure a lot of it gets lost in translation and cultural differences, still part of me thinks he bit off more then he could reasonably flesh out. Thinking back many writing choices feel like he had an idea or passing thought and added it because it was cool or thought he'd have time to do more with it latter but due to shitty writing conditions couldn't implement properly.

Physically:

From of her 17 years, she is 1m62 tall. Alexandra has long chesnut hair wavy degraded ginger/orange she ties in many ways depending on what she wants it to be a high ponytail with a clamp, a rabbit ears scrunchie or just normal as much as it can be two low pigtails or in but, in style, at the end everything is so mixed up that it's twisted on all sides or whatever. She has orange eyes with freckles that can be easily seen on the top of her nose which gives her a childish air despite her age. She wears glasses, since without a pair of lenses, she does not see from afar.

Dress level, Alex isn't the kind of young lady wearing jewelry, high heels, fashionable clothes and everything else. On the contrary, she is rather the girl who will prefer to wear a pair of loose and non-skinny jeans which she hates, with a camisole or a t-shirt with the sleeves being short, long or three-quarter with a jacket or a sweatshirt . As said before, she does not wear a skirt, unless she has no choice, but again, she will put a pair of leggings under the skirt to be more comfortable. Alexandra has a preference for converses that high-heeled shoes, being clumsy as she is, it's safer to stay flat than to grow with heeled-shoes.

This one is not a very big fan of make-up, she prefers to wear a few black pencils than to have lots of makeup in her face and to hide behind a cosmetic mask. The simplest possible for her.

Mental:

Clumsy: It is to the greatest misfortune of this one who has a tendency to make a blunder without wanting it or to take the feet everywhere and to pick up face first on the ground. Otherwise, it's out of business or forget something and other unfortunate things.

Nice: Alexandra is very nice, not judging people without having a very good reason and / or without really knowing the person in question. It is not she who will do the most harm being too kind for that.

Shy: She's pretty shy when we do not know her. Being more reserved for certain reasons, it becomes a bit more difficult to know. She blushes very fast sometimes too.

Patient / Impatient: An angel's patience that she has our Alex. She is as patient on several points as doing graphics or playing her favorite musical instrument, singing and others. While she has no patience when she is classy especially for mathematics and sciences not being her favorite subjects and having more difficulty.

Friendly: Once we know this one, we can see that she is a very good friend. Always there for them, being loyal to them

Honest: She is a very bad liar being too honest and sometimes a little too direct. But it's better than lying to others and hurting.

Her story:

Alexandra is half-French, half-Japanese. Born in a small town in Japan not far from Tokyo speaking French, English and Japanese. But despite her efforts to get out of her hell being his parents. Not in the sense of being intimidated or annoyed for fun, but in the sense physically and mentally.

Everyone thinks it's the fact that she's clumsy that she often hurts herself, but it's wrong. In truth, she is abused, beaten and violently by her parents. Her parents never wanted her, but the reason they kept him remains unknown. So they "tried" to make an effort, but it did not last long, as they began to abuse her and beat her and mentally torture her. They were aggressive, alcoholic and drug addicts.

Despite the many times she had marks, blues, scars and so on, she continued on her way. Not a day that she did not have bandages or refused to wear anything other than long clothes. Always to be belittled, insult and the rest, both at home and at school.

She was afraid of the world, of judgment, of so anxious looks and always crying because she was exhausted by being imprisoned by this torture. It took him a long time to open up to others and trust. Unhappy and completely broken into a thousand pieces, it hurt to see that.

Right now, she's in class 2-B in Yumenosaki as a producer. She knows Mao and not that kind of girl who like to call people by their family name since she’ll forget it..
