Your comic about the protective mom telling the fairies to stay away from her brown daughter has some great implicit commentary on the insidious adultification of Black girls, as well as the equally harmful belief that Black women = saviors! It makes a clever comic that much more powerful and poignant.

Omigod i had absolutely no intention of this when i drew/wrote the comic but im glad you can see it as such! And you're so right!! More black girl characters who can be soft and delicate and protected, less black girl characters who are tough and mean and the protectors!
