One day I'll talk about the impact of public relations and marketing in Overwatch and the impact that it had on Lena's sense of self.
#enough people call you a hero and you start to believe it#especially as a mentally unstable 20 some odd year coming off one of the most traumatic experiences she's ever had#but she internalized a lot of that#splitting the difference between Tracer and Lena#as if Tracer was her alter ego or something#not to mention all of the posters and newspapers#interviews and talk shows#even galas#where she was expected to recount different stories ( some good; some bad ) none of which needs repeating#But yes the idea of marketing and Overwatch has always obsessed me a little#imagine reporters and paparazzi coming after her when she's just out to lunch#being fed lines post-fight when she's exhausted and battered and just wants to go home#because if she doesn't then she's a Bad Hero(tm)#anyway yes okay back to patient files sorry#I'm just thinking about her sm lately even tho I'm having a hard time writing#( ooc. )
