I have several projects in the works from kitchens to bathrooms to home offices and each one will get something special to finish the space. What do you think of this new leather wrapped pull? I think I might use it in a masculine office I’m planning! I love that @belwithkeeler made sure I didn’t miss out on the tactile experience of going to KBIS this year since it’s virtual. As I’ve said before, this trade show is so inspiring for me and being able to touch the products and see the quality material first hand helps me decide whether or not I’m going to recommend them to clients. Of course, with a pandemic, this year we all have to immerse ourselves in a virtual experience and @kbis_official has been doing an amazing job with it all and I’m so grateful we are able to “attend” the best way we can, rather than just wait a year. Sneak peek of the awesome handles I won from @belwithkeeler when I was at @icff_official last year. How awesome is this company?! These matte black handles found a home in a well deserving client’s new kitchen. The @cafeappliances matte white range is hooked up and she’s cooking with gas now! Floors, counters, sink (and killer faucet), backsplash, island pendants, chandelier, table and chairs, bar stools... we have a way to go, and that’s just in the kitchen. But today, I get to enjoy this. Do you like one big handle per drawer or do you like two small ones, or maybe one small one? Or knobs? What’s your preference? And what about mixing metals? Good morning! So the work has begun on my One Room Challenge, but this pic is not about that. You will have to read my blogpost tomorrow morning! I just wanted to show you the lovely hardware that @belwithkeeler sent to me for another project I have going on. They selected me as a winner for this little contest they ran at ICFF (one of my favorite trade shows) and I’m putting my prize toward a project that means a lot to me. We are using matte black handles in a kitchen that has soft gray cabinetry, marble backsplash and that pretty white quartz countertop. Belwith Keeler makes some terrific hardware, they have a very long and interesting history, and I look forward to working with them. This kitchen is going to be casual, comfortable and cool. Here’s my other @belwithkeeler mood board from @icff_nyc. Took a beachy sea glass color cabinet and decided on the feminine brass handle but then felt like going in a different direction with some marble and glass mosaic tile, ostrich leather (I was thinking barstools with brass legs), marble counter (this was the closest thing so pretend it’s marble) and then a cool cement look floor that looks like the ocean on a gray day. I spent a lot of time in the @belwithkeeler booth and they told me to make a mood board with a bunch of items they had on the counter and several of the hardware pieces they offer. It’s like giving a kid a bunch of toys and saying “have fun”. Sucked me right in. Here’s one that I did with the marble and brass floor tile, crocodile leather and furry seating fabrics, a cool metallic glass chevron tile, and the awesome big round knob on the gray wash cabinet door. What would you call this look? I think I’m going to call it the Dean Martin. #designninja #designwithBK #icff2018
