This hasn't been a linear journey and it never will be. But this is the first time since 2007 that I have been under 300lbs for any significant period of time. And initially, as usual, I gave myself NO credit for putting in the work. I refused to celebrate myself. My inner thoughts continued to beat me down; telling me I was a total failure, not only in weight control, but health, wealth, family, career, spirituality, in every aspect of life, I felt lower than anyone. But GOD!! For the first time when I was in my lowest point, instead of running away from my spirituality, I RAN FULL FORCE TO GOD!! I timidly went home to @spiritandtruthcm, afraid of them seeing the worst of me, but knowing I had to fight my way through the fear. I had to get past what I THOUGHT would be their perception, and show up for STEPHANIE. Of course, my chamily showed me that my fears were unfounded and HOME WILL ALWAYS BE HOME!! ANYHooooo, I'm in a new phase and I'm okay with listening to God and taking charge to get the treatment I need to make the changes that need to happen for this phase to bring what it should.... And: Is the other person activated too? When our stuff mixes with other people’s stuff, it might mean both of us are triggered and therefore responding from an activated state. Our work (and their work) will be to stay as close to the present moment as possible. To attend to what is happening right here, right now. To acknowledge the past parts of us that are influencing our current reaction. To work towards connection rather than disconnection.
