If you live in a city, it can be challenging to find a safe place for your child to play that isn’t crawling with germs and danger. Luckily, there are plenty of smaller cities and suburbs that offer plenty of great parks, green spaces, and other areas where you can let your kid run around without worrying they will step in something gross or get kidnapped by a stranger. With these kinds of locations being rarer up here in Canada, we have begun taking our little ones on easy hikes through ravines and along local trails. It’s not exactly the same as being in the forest where you have room to roam and see nature all around you, but it’s better than nothing.
