March is done!

A month full of events and projects has just finished and a dedicated story is useful to wrap-up key achievements and activities.

On March 5th I participated as attendee in #WIDS — WOMAN IN DATA SCIENCE. A nice event organized by ISI Foundation and CRT Foundation aimed at inspiring and educating data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and supporting women in the field. I also had the opportunity to give a quick promo announcement about TOP-IX Data Science Course — BIGDIVE8.

Open Days dell’Innovazione was the second main event taking place in March — https://www.opendaysinnovazione.it/

The event has been organized by Innovazione per lo Sviluppo and TechSoup. Day 1 was about keynote talks and panels, while Day 2 was dedicated to hands-on workshops.

My favorite talk in DAY1 was by Nivi Sharma — “Connecting One Billion Africans to the Internet”. Here the video:

During the second day, I managed a workshop about Data Science tools and Data Visualization. Together with me on the stage, colleague from TOP-IX and the friends by Dataninja.

Later in March I moderated the Episode 9 of Innovation Bites (the format created for and with Reale Group and aimed at disseminating Innovation topics during lunch break), special guest: Davide Menegaldo from Helperbit.

Helperbit is a startup that uses blockchain technology and bitcoin to offer transparency in charity and a new insurance paradigm for natural disasters.
