Muted!Blue AU part 2
Okay, Reguri fans, it time for more of my mute!Blue headcanons. This time focusing on how he is with other gym leaders and some of the E4 members. This is how he sees them and things that happen while Red is on Mt Silver
Starting with Brock: Blue sees him like an older brother. When Red is away, Blue just wants to communicate to another guy his own age, and Brock is the closest to his age. Because their gyms are close enough, they meet up about once a week to just hang out.
Misty: Blue loves to tease Misty about her fear of bugs (I know that's Anime Misty, but this is my headcanon damn it). By showing her bug, Pokemon. When he isn't being an ass, the two of them have friendly swimming races. The current score is a 75 wins to Misty and 25 to Blue.
One time Misty had enough of Blue's bs, captured a Misdreavus and call it out right in front of him. No one had ever heard Blue scream that loud before and didn't talk to Misty for a month. They apologise to each other and promised to only verbally/sign tease each other about their fears. The older gym leaders do get tried of this and try to stop them, but together they are a pair of gremlins.
Surge: Blue thinks he's an asshole who is too full of himself and only ever talks to him during rematch battles. Surge doesn't know sign at first so Blue insults him in sign to his face. Surge soon learned and gives him a clip around the ear for being a little shit.
Eirka: No strong feelings. When they run into each other they exchange pleasantries but nothing more then that.
Sabrian: Blue loves having Mirror matches with their Alakazams. Despite being an early gym leader, Sabrian tends to win because she has a closer bond with hers while Blue's ace is either his Blastoise or Pigot
Janie: Since she became a gym leader shortly after he did, the two help each other out on tips on how they deal with different kinds of trainers that come to fight them. He jokingly calls her a nepotism baby due to how she got her gym. Red and Blue did hang out a lot with Janie during their journey since the boys would spend a lot of time in the safari so the three of them became friends during this time.
Blaine: Blue enjoys his over the top quiz loving attitude, but hates it when he forces it on Blue to get him to be more verbal.
The only elite four members Blue really knows is Koga and Lance. Koga is often telling Blue off for teasing Janie and Misty but Blue is a little shit and doesn't listen.
He does listen to Lance though who basically adopted Blue when he found out how much of a dick Oak was to him. After Red, Lance was the first person to find out how to tell when Blue is lying. (I'll get to that). Lance is firm with the younger gym leaders to keep them in check and and ensure they are doing a good job.
Now it's time for things Blue does.
1: He signs everything, no matter if he's verbal or not. This is from when he wasnt verbal so it's like second nature to him. Though when he's tired he sign stutters (I looked this up, this is a thing thought I'm not sure if sleep affects it)
2: If he lies his signing is slightly slower then normal. Not by much but Red and Lance have noticed and often calls him out on it. He normally lies about being a little shit to Lance and if he's feeling okay to Red. He can verbally lie just fine though. He has tried not signing while lying but that was a bigger give away. He doesn't know that's how they can tell he's lying. But he expects it.
3: He hates his hands being confined for too long because of point 1. To him it's the same as covering his mouth. He doesn't mind hand holding as long as one hand is free.
4: If he has a challenger on a none verbal day he forces himself to talk if they win. Thankfully for him it doesn't happen often.
5: For the first mouth of being a Gym Leader, he would fall asleep at the gym in his chair so he didn't get enough sleep. Daisy grilled him for this because his sign stutter got so bad during the day. Every so often, Blue does it again, but only for a night
6. He'll never admit it, but he loves it when Lance says he's doing a great job as a gym leader because it makes him realise how much Oak was a dick to him. And having a father figure give a damn about him really boosts Blue's confidence. Lance knows anyway but doesn't make a big deal, so the boost can be more natural.
7. He hums a lot when not speaking. Most of the time, he doesn't notice he does it. Sometimes it's just a small hum while other's it's drawn out. It's low enough that people have to be right next to him to hear.
8. During none verbal days if he wants to get someone's attention and their in the same room. He will grab hold of whatever their wearing and wait for them to notice. If it's important he'd tug hard.
Part 1 Part 3
This would be more polished but my computer has no Internet so I'm using my phone to upload this. I do plan on doing a post like this for Red but not as long.

Saw this cute oc quiz going around for love languages!
Oc Hazel Maribelle x Blaine Debeers - OTP: Romance is Undead
soft fresh green
Nice breeze, bare feet and freshly cut grass. Your love is a lighthearted hope for the future. It's protecting your eyes from the sun but enjoying the light rays still, it's laying on the grass and feeling it tickle your neck. You look to the side and they look back at you, full of hope and plans too. You plan together and laugh all day and your sunburn will feel like them. Your love is delicate, hesitant. A well curated binder full of collages for a future you can't be sure will come, but you keep going, you keep planning, you keep squinting at the sun and smiling, and running your hands through the grass so it will smell better. You keep holding onto the bright sky even as the sunsets, even as the starry night stares back. But you keep on holding, you keep on dreaming, you close your eyes and feel the sun on your skin and convince yourself that the sunburn is good, it's something to hold on to, just makes it linger a bit longer. Your love is a lighthearted hope for the future. It's sweet and wonderful and it keeps love alive, makes the world a better place. You run your hands through the grass, clench your fingers tighter and keep making plans. And I can only thank you and hope I can learn to love like you someday
Oc Lily Anaphiel x Oc Silva Elassa - Ship: Bloodied Wings
deep staining red
Ripped out confessions, warm velvety whispers and a heart like an open wound. Your love flows out like dripping blood, beautiful, flawed and twisted. It's gut wrenching, the type of painfully dramatic feeling that makes you clutch your chest, picturing dramatic monologues about love and loving and big screen over the top scenes of sobbing into your pillow until you fall asleep. It rips out of you, clawing it's way up your throat more so than tumbling out. Sticky words that just need to be let out, feelings so big they don't fit inside you. Your love isn't easy, it's a true bloody mess, dripping and staining everything it touches in a desperate attempt to be seen, to be felt, to be loved back. And you, you love so hard, so deeply, so much for someone who carries all that pain. Atlas holding up the world, how are you? Is your love still flowing? Is your heart still open? Still pumping and bleeding and dripping with blood and tears? Still painting your beautiful pictures and writing your love letters in deeply personal red ink? Because I see them, I read them, I love them and you, you, you, you. Clench your chest, scream your love, cry it out. Spill your words of loving, keep your heart beating, keep your love coming and paint the entire world red with it. Make it in your image, keep going, it's okay. Maybe one day the whole world can be red and loved and beautiful just like you.

Tumblr media
I actually have a few things to share today before I start scheduling the rest of my angsty couple asks. ( I really dropped the ball this past week) A few of these are from one shots but the first one is from an upcoming series I have been working on. (A big thank you to @blackcatkita @sfb123 @jessiembruno for encouraging me to write it and for telling me the snippet below doesn’t suck) Please bear in mind these are works in progress, not the final result. If you would like to be tagged in any of the pieces mentioned simply comment, send an ask, or hit me up via DM.
They All Fall Down: (TRR Liam x MC, Maxwell x MC):
{Trigger warning for gun violence}
Heart pounding, Maxwell flattened himself against the cold marble of the ballroom floor. Over the din of gunfire and screams, he could hear the masked men chanting. Via Imperii. It was a term he had heard before. He'd been six and desperate to spend time with Bertrand, even if it meant sitting through one of the private tutoring sessions their father insisted upon. 'Via imperii...the sword that keeps the crown in check.' It hadn't made any sense to him. Questioning his father on why anyone would use a sword against the crown had resulted in him being banished from attending anymore of Bertrand's “special” lessons. 'You ask too many questions,' his father had told him before shuffling him into the hallway and slamming the door in his face. Later that night he had tried to quiz Bertrand  but his elder brother had echoed their father's sentiments: he asked too many questions. Now, as he lay pressed to the ground with bullets ricocheting through nobles and staff alike, he realized he hadn't asked enough.
Crossing The Line: (Foreign Affairs: Tatum x fMC/Genevieve)
Frustration simmered in her veins. The words coming out of his mouth sounded exactly like the sort of propaganda her mother would spiel. “Did my mother get to you? Is that what this is about?” He glanced away, but not before she seen the guilt in his eyes. Her lower lip trembled; from rage or hurt she didn't know. “So what did she offer you? A better position? I'm figuring a raise...maybe even a paid vacation or two thrown in...”
“I'm not doing this with you.”
Genevieve stepped between him and the door, her slender body pressing against the wood in an attempt to block his exit. “No! I want to know how much our friendship was worth! I think I deserve to know.”
Untitled Foreign Affairs One shot (mBlaine x fMC/Kennedy)
His expression was unreadable, which shouldn't have come as a surprise. Blaine was a master at disguising his feelings. He hid behind jokes and inappropriate innuendos. Part of her had hoped he would realize he didn't need to do that with her. She seen him, truly seen him...and she was fairly certain he seen her too. Yet here they were, back to square one.
What are you working on: @blackcatkita @burnsoslow @jessiembruno @queenrileyrose @sfb123 @speedyoperarascalparty @kingliamandriley @callmeellabella

True Facts about Emi Aino
Emi was actually born in the Johto region, where her father is from. When she was around 3 years old, the family decided to move to Cinnabar Island because they inherited the deed to the Pokémon Mansion from Fuji.
Her parents originally had big ideas for renovating the mansion into their new home, until they saw the secrets it held. Despite never using the property for anything, Emi’s mother would never accept any proposals to sell off the deed.
Emi’s parents didn’t have many relatives that were able to be part of their lives. On her mother’s side, the sole living relative, Dr. Fuji, despite helping with diagnosing his niece with autism via DNA screening, had only seen her once as a baby before disappearing off the grid. On her father’s side, the alakazam family that adopted him had to remain in Ecruteak to protect historical sites. This meant holidays usually consisted only of Emi and her parents.
However, Blaine was a close family friend, and Emi was one of his favorite kids on the island. He was always fond of how intelligent she was, and he loved to quiz her randomly on things. It became a sort of game to them. Emi even started writing her own questions to stump the quiz master.
Emi loved to go out to the beach with her parents, and the shoreline is where many of her fondest memories reside. Her mother had a seashell collection that was actually fairly valuable, and included some fossils, as her mother used to be a scientist like her brother.
One of Emi’s favorite treats is Pocky, because it is simple and fun to eat. When she’s alone, she may or may not put one pocky stick on each side of her mouth and pretend shes a Walrein.
Her mother was always particularly paranoid about Team Rocket and their infamous leader, despite their low activity on the island. Emi was used to her mother freaking out and thinking she was kidnapped if she came home even a few minutes later than usual.
Emi’s drawings were of mostly pokémon, and she would sneak onto routes to see them in their natural habitats. No matter where she went, the pokémon seemed to welcome her in contrast to how they’d react to most humans in their territories.
Some pokémon enjoyed modeling for her artwork, and became recurring figures in the girl’s sketchbook. Emi eventually gave them nicknames, though they weren’t her pokémon. Emi’s parents thought their daughter was finally making friends until she revealed this friend named Fineas she went to see every day was just a magikarp.

Original Song - almost by default, I really can’t stand most of the competition episodes.
17. what episode can you watch over and over again?
Most of them, and I have ;)  I like Love, Love, Love might be the most rewatchable though.
18. what character do you find the best looking?
I had to think... is it Kurt? Yeah, no, it’s definitely Kurt...
19. why did you start watching glee?
Okay, so I’ll tell this whole story...
So, ten years ago, I got a new job, and moved to a new city, and met a (seemingly) nice guy - with whom I went out with a few times and (unfortunately) it didn’t work out because I got dumped cause he wasn’t that great and still seeing his ex.  Fun, right? Anyway - a friend of mine was like - I’m sorry you’re sad - watch this show! You like musicals and are okay with gay, you’ll like it!
So - she gave me the season 1 (part 1) dvd and I was like - yeah, that’s fun, but nothing about it grabbed me.  Except DSB - that gave me chills.  But then she insisted we watch it together every time it was on, and so we did... through, eh, half way through season 2?
And I was, like, nope, this show is just the worst - it’s mean spirited and mean and I am not really enjoying it.  So I stopped.  For about a year.
So a year-ish later, I got let go from a second job (that was fine - it was super shady and people got arrested, don’t do random online jobs guys) and had some free time, so decided to catch up on Glee and **gasp** watched The First Time and absolutely fell in love with Klaine.  And then I rewatched the whole series and really appreciated it more the second time around.
And years later, I’m now sitting here with you people.  Lol <3
20. how long have you watched glee?
March 2010
21. what scene or episode made you fall in love with the show?
The Auditorium scene from The First Time.  It took my breath away, which hadn’t happened since I started watching The Office.
22. if you could wake up and be one of the characters for a day, who would you like to be?
Elliott Gilbert - he seems to have his life together.
23. what character would you most like to meet?
Cooper Anderson - I mean who wouldn’t?
24. favorite newbie character?
Unique in the original newbies, Jane of the second group
25. who would you be most want to be friends with?
Elliott Gilbert - he’d get my life together
 26. if you could have a one night stand with any character, who would you choose?
Cooper.  I mean there are some things in life you’d just have to go for.  I’d imagine Santana would give you a pretty good time for a one night thing, too, though.
 27. favorite fan fiction?
Probably, Misqueue’s Scenes from a Breakup.  She really taught me the power of good fanfic.
28. favorite headcanon?
Hmm, this is so morbid, but the strongest one that comes to mind is that they both live to old age, but Blaine is the one who dies first, and Kurt’s kind of unbarable to be around afterwards, and I once wrote a tiny thing about this - how Kurt would get into fits and be nearly intolerable, but the seasoned nurses ask him to talk about Blaine, and it calms him down.
29. favorite person that has guest starred on glee?
Hmmm, based on their characters - Matt Bomer, Adam Lambert, or Sarah Jessica Parker. Oh and Katey Segal.  I’m so sad that they didn’t bring her back.
30. favorite minor character?
I have a deep appreciate for Stoner Brett.  Also Lord Tubbington
31. what character annoys you the most?
Ken Tanaka, uapoweifjodsifjeaw;oifh yuk. Also up there is Sandy Ryerson and JBI.
32. what surprised you the most?
I’m not sure what you mean??  Mostly that I’ve grown used to the idea of Blaine and Karofsky enough that I don’t hate it and I get why it was a thing.
33. which character resembles you the most?
Thought processing wise - Kurt.  Though emotionally, maybe a bit of Blaine and Mercedes.
34. which character are you most connected to?
Kurt
35. 5 favorite quotes?
oh - god, i’m bad at remembering things off the top of my head --
My favorite one is: “let me autocorrect that for you.  Lima doesn’t have a zoo, why’d we think it did?” the delivery on that is the best.
also the one where Jane Lynch goes on about giving Will a cat and punching him in the face.
And the Kurt line about answering the phone saying ‘she’s dead’.
36. an unpopular opinion you have about this show?
Oh, I have so many... mostly, season 2 isn’t as good as people claim it is, and season 6 is much better than people claim it is.
 37. plot point you would've wanted to change, and how would you change it?
The biggest one for me is adding in a catalyst to Kurt’s story to head back to Blaine.  Not so much change, but add to the already existing story.
I’d also get rid of the whole Shelby/Puck thing all together.  Did not need to be a thing.
(Where are questions 38-39??)
40. what will you miss the most?
The week to week-ness of having discussions with people.

"Chris leaning away with his arms crossed is body language they should be looking at.' OK but that particular gif shows Chris perfectly still and not leaning in any direction? As to crossed arms, he's done that when Darren is nowhere to be seen. Here he's in a video with Adam Lambert who he seems to love, yet he has arms crossed and not looking at him (at 1:49). So, let's not over-analyze stuff to make it fit some assumption or other. youtube*com/watch?v=r7hGuKbkIyE
First I want to begin by saying that I didn’t go looking to overanalyze Chris/ Kurt. These are moments that immediately stuck out to me because Kurt/ Chris was so disengaged and uncomfortable that I felt uncomfortable and I wanted to figure out what made me feel that way.
This got LOOOONNNNGGGGGG
I have talked about this before but Chris was clearly over Glee, Klaine or both beginning sometime in Season 3, worsening until the final episode. My love for Klaine comes from canon Season 2 Glee and the abundance of amazing Klaine fanfiction. Season 2 Glee was still well-conceived and well written and Chris was having a great time both onscreen and with the press. But something changed in Season 3- the writing became inconsistent, soaring to greatness, The First Time and plummeting to the abysmal Previously Unaired Christmas. Fanon Klaine was able to avoid the pitfalls of the writers and Chris’s angst.
Tumblr media
As for the BTS Broadway quiz, Chris is definitely leaning away from Darren.  He’s sitting as far to the right as the chair will allow and leaning ever so slightly beyond that.
Many of the BTS interview Chris did with Darren give me the same feeling that Chris was uncomfortable and guarded. My gut reaction each time I watch those specific interviews is always the same, I am instantly uneasy. But I felt the same unease because Chris was uncomfortable when Kurt and Blaine showed any kind of intimacy after season 2.  Darren’s Blaine was always all in. Darren is a great on-screen kisser. He always portrays the kiss as passionate whether he is kissing Kurt or Imogene. Chris on-the-other-hand was all in for their first kiss in Original Song but after that Kurt was progressively more uncomfortable and stiff, his walls up, leaving the kisses feeling forced and uncomfortable. I talk about each below.
Let’s talk about your point that Chris crossed his arms when he was with Adam.  The link you provided (the entire video is at the end of the post):
This is from the very first few moments
Tumblr media
Chris is comfortable- he is leaning TOWARD Adam and he’s engaged.
He chats and jokes during the entire piece.
Tumblr media
Here they are at 1:49 as you recommended.  He has crossed his arms however he is comfortable, he is still leaning toward Adam, he’s open and engaged.
Here he’s leaning (it is subtle) to the right of the chair-he’s as far away from Darren as the chair allows. His legs are crossed away from Darren, he’s closed off and only responding to Darren’s shenanigans. He isn’t engaged at all to begin. He does warm up a little. He cracks a smile and lets his arms go.
Tumblr media
This wasn’t he only BTS interview that felt forced to me but I can’t find the one where they shot each other with Nerf guns…. anyone? If this was the only interview where Chris felt closed off I would agree it is over analyzing, but it isn’t. It is one of many.
Sometime during Season 3,something changed. Kurt became progressively more distant, his walls are up and he isn’t at all engaged in the scene work with Blaine, especially if he has to show intimacy. I couldn’t say whether he was over Klaine or he was over Glee or both. Several anons with Glee connections have told me that Chris was not happy with doing any BTS interviews and one person I know and trust implicitly has confirmed that he had be forced to do A Wedding BTS with Darren. During that interview, Chris isn’t as closed off physically but he isn’t having any of the romantic reminiscing about Klaine. He is harsh. He calls Klaine a disease, says Kurt and Blaine were a modern day Lucy and Ricky then imagines them become Fred and Ethel. He then imagines Klaine were Homeland style with Blaine being kidnapped by terrorists  and Kurt going on a mission to rescue him and Blaine’s mom hating him. This is not romantic reminiscing  but Klaine gone rogue. He goes on to call Klaine a country in Europe you would rather skip over and talk about how Klaine grew legs of it’s own, how difficult it was to deal with fans, and finally calling the fans and the experience, the Kragen- it can do big things but be a little scary…terrifying. Chris brings the conversation away from Klaine the couple and back to the stories they were able to tell before the couple got together and what is special is the reaction to them.
Some more examples of Chris being uncomfortable and stiff when Kurt should be in love: Kurt has been working to get back together with Blaine for months. They have a flirty song together- a song forced by Kurt manipulating the wheel of fortune -
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and as they walk out afterwards, Kurt tries to get Blaine to stay “You sure you have to go, doesn’t sound like we are done in there” Kurt is flirty as they walk.  Blaine goes in for a kiss. Kurt is stiff as a board, his arm is almost pushing Blaine away, and he literally leans his entire body back away from Blaine forcing Blaine to lean forward to chase Kurt’s head.
Tumblr media
Kurt runs to Blaine’s house to beg him to take him back and he just as uncomfortable as he was after they same and Blaine kissed him. His neck is stiff, his arms are stiff. The only reason this even remotely works is because when Darren kisses on screen he goes ALL IN.  He knows how to screen kiss and make it look sexy AF. He did the same thing with Kristen Wiig.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Kurt’s angle- This doesn’t feel like Kurt is kissing his soulmate, the man he just ran down the street to win back.  He lacks commitment and passion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now compare the kiss from the two perspective-it’s hard to believe it is the same kiss. Blaine is all passion and commitment. He’s going to devour Kurt.  Kurt could be kissing someone during a game of  7 Minutes In Heaven. He’s not committed and can’t wait for it to end…he’s thinking about opening his eyes and counting the ceilings tiles to make the time go faster.
Tumblr media
This is no better- he’s still stiff, he pulls back at the beginning and Blaine has to chase his face.
Compared to early Season 3 which is better but not really as hot as it should have been.
Tumblr media
This is the first time I felt something wasn’t right in the kiss…that Chris was holding back and either making weird acting choices or for whatever reason he wasn’t able to let it all go and really be in the moment as Kurt. His arms seem uncomfortable and he doesn’t seem to be invested in the kiss like he should be.  But at least Kurt doesn’t pull away and he isn’t as stiff and uninterested as he is in the gifs above.
Look at Season 2 Kurt.  For his first kiss he is engaged and passionate; he grabs Blaine’s cheek and kisses back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Blaine comes back for a second kiss he is READY.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Season 2 happily shocked Kurt.
Tumblr media
vs Season 6 shocked Kurt. Season 6 Kurt did not pull off the the-love-of-my-life-just-kissed-me shocked look. It’s more the ewe-someone-i-don’t-like-just-kissed-me. He’s tense, his neck is very tight,  his eyes are not even looking at Blaine- he’s looking down whereas in the first kiss his eyes are wide open and following Blaine’s every move.

Baker was named number three on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time list, and is the subject of the documentary Beware of Mr. Baker.
“Gifted with immense talent, and cursed with a temper to match, Ginger Baker combined jazz training with a powerful polyrhythmic style in the world’s first, and best, power trio,” said the Rolling Stone article. “The London-born drummer introduced showmanship to the rock world with double-kick virtuosity and extended solos.”

Lewisham-born Baker was known for being a mercurial and argumentative figure, whose temper frequently led to on-stage punch-ups.
His father, a bricklayer, was killed in the Second World War in 1943, and Baker was brought up in near poverty by his mother. He joined a local gang in his teens and when he tried to quit, gang members attacked him with a razor.
Baker suffered from heroin addiction, which he acquired as a jazz drummer in the London clubs of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He once told The Guardian he came off heroin “something like 29 times”.
Tributes for the drummer have been pouring in on Twitter.
Paul McCartney called Baker a “wild and lovely guy”, writing: “We worked together on the ‘Band on the Run‘ album in his ARC Studio, Lagos, Nigeria. Sad to hear that he died but the memories never will.”
Baby Driver director Edgar Wright wrote: “RIP the music giant that was Ginger Baker. The beat behind too many favourite songs from Cream, The Graham Bond Organisation and Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated.”
Rock journalist Mark Paytress tweeted: “Like Hendrix, Ginger Baker was a name synonymous w/ early days rock. Once you heard him play, saw pics & footage, he seemed to embody the music’s power, the culture’s adventure. Spending a day w/ him in 2014 magnified it all. Lost a big one this morning.”
Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg simply wrote: “Thank you Ginger Baker.”
