Hello!! First off, it's great that you're getting into football, as much as it pisses me off, it truly is THE sport. And there are no stupid questions don't worry!!

Real Madrid is pretty much hated universally (other than their supporters) because of the politics behind the scenes ofc, but also the cheating/buying off refs etc etc. basically they are the epitome of the saying, "football was made by the poor and bought by the rich"

In Europe terms, we do often clash (especially since Liverpool's values are exactly the opposite) but it's not something I would categorise as a rivalry. Liverpool's "rivalries" would be with Everton, United and in recent years, City
