You live and you learn, but you really got to learn. After the last sculpt video I looked back into the sculpting stage of this process and I had to take stock on my errors. Somehow during the process I turned off the mirroring for the face and that cause a significant problem with sculpt that at the time I was super inexperience with how to fix it. I noticed that the lips were not coming out the way that I like and by the time I noticed the problem I was half way through retopo. The con was that the finished look took a bonus step to fix and I wasn’t happy with the end result.

I scrapped the old head and used the Maya retopo head for the base, then exported it into Blender as an OBJ. I tweaked it a little until I used the multires modifier to sculpt. Instead of using the references for the old sculpt, I used the Bloom Bloomix character reference sheet and looked back and forth and sculpted. As much as I like to follow the model sheet head on, I had to stop looking at the model as a 2D image and make some changes so she can look closer to my goal.

I will update the video series with a 3.5 video before I get into building a character out of this model.
