SITUATION  THE  MOST  FAR  FROM  IDEAL,  maybe  he  should  be  mourning  his  parents,  no,  he  should  be   ;   but  he’s  not,  the  only   thing  he  was  mourning  was  the  constant.   where  he  wasn’t  the  one  who  had  to  worry  about  his  own  safety,  the  constant  of  him  just  not  wanting  to  be  cooped  up---  hidden  from  the  world.  sam  is,  he  can  see  it  with  every  step  she  had  taken  in  the  sand,  the  silence  that  befallen  her.  dean’d  stopped  them  when  he  believe  them  to  have  walked  far  enough,  when  the  shaded  oasis  from  before  on  the  horizon  was  within  their  space.  the  nightblood  moves  some  rocks  over,  makeshift  seats  before  he  wanders  over  to  the  small  amount  of  water   ;   hands  dip  into  it  and  he  takes  a  sip  from  them,  before  his  gaze  casts  down  to  his  rippled  reflection.  a  punch  lands  on  the  water  before  he  rises  mutters  something  in  trigedasleng  about  being  right  back.  a  clear  head  is  what  he  needed,  and  walks  off,  going  east.  its  when  he  comes  across  the  post  sticking  up  in  the  sand.  this  oasis  seemed  untouched  by  anyone  and  in  that  rash  decision  making,  this  was  a  good  place  to  set  up  home,  a  new  home  ;  whether  his  sister  stayed  or  not  was  up  to  her.  a trinket,  something  lay  buried  in  the  sand,  glass  was  cracked  but  numbers  circled  around  a  dial---  he’d  seen  this  before,  thumb  brushes  over  to  remove  some  of  the  dust  settled  upon  the  glass,  blunt  nail  slightly  dragging  over  the  crack.  mixed  emotions  fell  his  frame,  what  life  would’ve  been  like,  instead  watching  time  tick  by  never-ending  like  on  the  small  ticks  of  a  watch.    «   hir.    »   voice  prompting  his  siblings  gaze,  before  tossing  the  watch  to  her,  then  perching  himself  on  the  rock  next  to  her,    «   found em  raun  sand.    »    //  @bloodyrcses

                      –––––––––––––    ➵     ➵      ➵   She’s   killed   her   fair   share   of   monsters   by   now,   being   forced   into   the   world   of   the   unknown.   Maybe   it   had   been  the   Croft   blood   in   her,   the   weirdness   of   places   are   drawn   to   her   as   she   is   to   them,   so   it   would   only   make   sense   that   she’d   want   to   find   the   source   of   all   this   madness.   Doing   search   upon   search   into   the   history   of   hunting   has   brought   her   down   to   a   few   people.   Some   say   they   either   went   missing   or   died,   as   she’s   talked   to   their   witnesses   of   good   deeds.   Though,   after   finding   one   of   the   men   on   her   list   of   people   to   talk   to,   she’s   been   rather   eager   to   find   out   who   he   really   is.   A   deeper   conversation   lead   to   the   reasonings   of   why   SHE   became   a   hunter,   not   him.   But,   just   like   her   father,   she   dives   too   deep   into   talking   about   her   findings.

NONSEXUAL ACTS OF INTIMACY.

     ( ♗ : buffy falling asleep with her head in sam’s lap. )

     ‘  no,  it’s fine, i.  it doesn’t hurt.  that bad.  ‘   of course it did,  but buffy wasn’t interested in being honest. sticking with the pleasantry made a lot more sense right now  —  there was no use worrying sam when there wasn’t anything to be done but wait it out.  she healed faster than normal people.  it had already stopped bleeding,  thank god,  she wasn’t sure she could stand any more fretting.  

       they did this often:  saved each other’s lives.  when they were around one another,  in any sort of close vicinity,  priorities seemed to shift a little.  like a strange puzzle,  their misfit,  jagged pieces sort of just…  clicked.  buffy wasn’t entirely sure whether she enjoyed that,  found it unnerving,  or wished it would stop.  maybe all of them.

      they were sat in her living room,  buffy’s legs tucked up underneath her and to the side,  watching some old cartoon blare on the television.  she could tell that dawn wasn’t asleep by the intermittent creaks pressing into the floorboards upstairs,  and buffy wasn’t about to attempt getting any rest until she knew for sure that her sister was sound asleep and out of trouble.  if dawn was awake,  walking,  breathing,  talking  —  trouble would find her.  ‘  uh,  you can.  change the channel if you want to,  remote’s.  right over there.  ‘  her voice dropped a few semitones in a yawn,  and it wasn’t until her head lolled back  ( rather involuntarily )  onto the cushion that buffy understood the severity of her exhaustion.

     she wasn’t conscious of herself and the way her body moved,  really,  or whether she’d thought she was in her bed  —  none of that seemed to matter as she drooped the other direction,  each part of her body shutting down almost like somebody had just…  pushed a button to cause it.   half-asleep,  she nuzzled slowly,  contently,  into sam’s lap.  it felt familiar,  and gentle,  and like a safe place to land.  somewhere she remembered the last time she’d done that same thing.    ‘  mm.  ‘   buffy mumbled,  adjusting minutely.
