Y'all know I'm firmly on the "Viktor was Yuuri's first everything" train but tbh I think it'd be fucking hilarious if Yuuri's supposed past/secret love life was actually just a bunch of people (whether from college or whatever) who were head over heels for him but he was too oblivious/hyperfocused on his career and on Viktor/unaware of his own charms to notice anything so he ended up gaining a reputation as a heartbreaker without even knowing it 😭

Rating Theon/His captors ships

Theon/Ned - 1 star. Some potential on Theon’s end with his complicated feelings about Ned as a hereditary enemy/potential executioner/father-figure-that-wasn’t. Unfortunately Ned doesn’t seem to have registered Theon’s existence. Thinks about him more like a piece of furniture and not in a sexy way. Why does Ned make Theon carry the sword? Because he kept forgetting Theon was there when he didn’t. Like I wish it was a power play.

Theon/Robb - 2.5 stars. This is my preferred dynamic between them. Unfortunately most Throbb content tends to downplay the age gap, not to mention avoid framing Theon as Robb’s hostage. Robb is Theon's little brother but also the lord he owns obedience to in Ned's absence. Robb admires Theon and heeds him but also scolds him like a cook who burned the soup. His father's sword comes between them. How would Theon have reacted if he knew how frankly Robb and Catelyn talked about killing him in retaliation for Balon's attack on the North. How sloppy was the blowjob Theon gave Robb in return for his freedom. These are the questions we must be asking.

Theon/Roose - 4 stars, as long as it’s used in conjunction with Thramsay. I prefer to see it mostly as Roose’s way of controlling and manipulating his son by making him share his toys. Why tf does Roose bring up how he likes Walda making noise in bed? Maybe some goodfatherly advice - have you tried squealing and shuddering when Ramsay’s bouncing you in it? it might endear you to him.

Theon/Ramsay - 5 stars. Absolute peak. Canon almost doesn’t need to be improved upon. It’s like Georg reached into my brain and extracted my tastes exactly. Especially when you throw Jeyne into the mix.

Theon/Stannis - 5 stars. This is it. I’m so pumped for the next book guys. I become more #Thennispilled every time I reread Theon’s released TWOW chapter. Captor/captee. Torturer and victim. Skeptic and prophet. The guy with no sense of humor and the guy who smiles at everything. Contempt for Jon Snow. Age gap. Their shared dental problems. I am rooting for them to be Westeros’s no. 1 toxic couple. Does it count as old man yaoi if one of them is twenty one but has been prematurely aged by torture? Idc I love it. 

Honorable mention:

Theon/[Rodrik/Maron] (Not including this in the main list because older brothers technically aren’t captors. Still what is family if not a hostage situation.) - 3.5 stars. Look, sibling abuse runs in the family. Daddy Balon certainly seemed convinced that the Starks had made Theon their whore. Why if not because he had seen Theon let it happen before.

Avenhill concept where Boothill doesn’t think twice when Aventurine snorts and responds to something he says one day with a snarky, “Sure, whatever. Love you,” because Aventurine addresses everyone in that passive-aggressive kind of endearing manner. See: the most handsome man in Penacony, his friends of the Astral Express, etc. So Boothill just takes it in stride and continues to bicker and badger the Stoneheart without batting an eye.

Meanwhile, Aventurine will take what he can get. He comes close every so often to saying the words sincerely… But each time, a deep terror grips him, and keeps his tone curled into a joking lilt, and his smile wide and laughing like he doesn’t really mean it. The thing is: Aventurine doesn’t actually believe Boothill will reject him if he knew that Aventurine means what he says — and maybe that’s the worst part. Maybe even more than how he aches to say it with sincerity and have Boothill understand that he isn’t kidding, Aventurine is afraid of having Boothill say it back, because then Aventurine will know he doesn’t deserve it at all.

This particular picture of Phoenix? It is everything. It's my favourite thing, ever, in the history of forever. And it's so hilarious how ingame everyone keeps talking about how ugly this picture in particular is but they are WRONG.

Look at him. He looks so sincere. And yet there is not a single thought behind his eyes. Like how dogs look when you open a bag of chips around them.

Have some siege thoughts because I haven’t been able to get this guy out of my brain for the last week & I have a new album that released today.

Mara’s character progression from wanting to literally start a war with Asher over his mistreatment of the Vampires to not considering anyone family (save Kore) was a slow and steady process that took place over months, but can be seen even from the beginning of siege. And I wanna talk about it cause it’s taken place over so many months that even I’ve forgotten some of it. So, spoilers for all of Mara’s siege lore below:

At the beginning of this series Mara was completely alone. They were left in a shipwreck with only the voices of the people they’d lost to keep them company. They didn’t have anyone left to love and though it was miserable, it felt safe. When you have no one to love, you have nothing to lose.

But then Kore came back with their book from Selina and suddenly all these old emotions came flooding back. Suddenly, Mara had someone to love. And Kore kept bringing people in, one by one; Reyna and Dawn and Ori and Wolfgang. Then slowly Mara started to make their own friends, Kahza and the Mischen and Percy and even Laz. Mara opened their heart, one by one, until finally they had more friends than they could count on both hands. And they loved them, fiercely.

… but then things started to happen. Elliara died. Ori got distant. Wolfgang and Dawn stopped coming around as often. Kore became ruler and everyone was interested in putting a target on their back. Kore got hurt.

Suddenly, Mara remembered what happened to people they loved. Suddenly Mara realized the more people she loved, the more people they could lose. So they pulled back. They stopped thinking of anyone as family. They started isolating themself and trying to figure out why everyone else they loved died… maybe if they could find the answer they could stop losing everyone again. And they did start to find answers! They started to feel like maybe isolation would make them and everyone else safe.

But there was only one person they couldn’t bring themself to pull back from, the only person who would be family no matter how much they tried to lie to themself, Kore.

When they were crying and freaking out about becoming a vampire one of the only things that brought them back was Kore saying, “Our family has always got each other”. Mara knew that no matter what was going to happen Kore wouldn’t leave them. They were going to get through this the only way they could; together.

That’s why, when Mara bit Kore something inside of them broke. It was like one final piece of the puzzle sliding into place… it didn’t matter how safe they felt, it didn’t matter how much the people they cared about loved them, it didn’t matter what lengths they would go for each other, the thing that hurt the people Mara loved was themself. Every time they loved someone, they failed them. Every time someone left, it was their fault. Every time someone died, they heard their voice sing their name. And if something didn’t change Kore would soon join them. So they finally decided to let go of the last piece that kept them holding on.

Now there is nothing left for them to love lose. Only absence. Only hatred. Only bloodlust.

Thus, the name of this upcoming arc. Get ready guys… this is gonna be fun hehehe

I love you concept of old Maya fey. I love imagining what the fey girls would look like when they age, would their grey hairs be edgeworth-grey or closer to something like Amara and Nayhuta (which apparently is described as silver or grey or smth??)

I love imaging old grandma-esk Maya randomly dropping her lore and her adventures with pheonix to the acolytes’ horror. She would definitely have hard candy on her at all times the type that has assigned acolyte to watch her and keep her from getting into chaos like she did in her youth.

I love the thought of finally one fey happily growing old after so many years and reviving the tradition or even building on from those traditions. I love you weird aunt Maya. I love you old Maya

My favourite block fellas are all different noises to me

Grian is a squeaker that is very fun to throw at a wall and squeeze

Pearl is one of the toys, when you turn them upside down they make that super funky indescribable noise (think they are called groan tubes)

And Scar is both a bunch of shakable bells and those toys that if you throw them at something they start to flash different disco colours (I know it's not a noise, but the general vibe you know)

obligatory disclaimer to all the "its just mc eggs its not that deep" people that this is about characters. we are allowed to post character analysis, even ones that arent positive, about fictional characters no matter what medium theyre from. this is 10000% about the characters, not the admins and there are moments i may not know about since i cant watch every pov but heres my thoughts on the sunny/leo "beef"

which it feels wrong, at this point, to even call it beef when its mostly one sided on leo's part and the adults are failing both sunny and leo

does leo have the right to be wary about the new eggs? 100%, absolutely

does that excuse her recent treatment of sunny? no

is leo to blame for her behavior? well, no, she's a child

do i think q!foolish and q!tubbo are good fathers? yes

did they both drop the ball in regards to this situation and should have handled it better? yes, but that doesnt mean its not too late now

again, i dont fault leo for being distrustful and cautious of the new eggs, its more than reasonable given what shes gone through. im glad she's warmed up to pepito and i think it's a good choice on foolish's part to not force her to interact with anyone she doesnt like while still encouraging her to try. that being said, i think he should say something to leo about how she has recently been treating sunny because it is quickly getting to the point where it is bullying, not "beef"

to be fair, maybe he hasnt seen [in character/roleplay] the extent to which she has treated sunny, and obviously none of the parents are aware of the baby fight club, but even then, someone should say something to leo if they see behavior similar to how leo treated sunny after the fight [although i believe foolish and roier are two of the only people she will actually listen to /neu] with that being said, i dont think foolish takes it very seriously and at the end day has a rather "well what can you do" type of mentality about it.

we know that leo is stubborn and can be a little hard headed, which is one of the reasons why i personally love her, but its been toeing the line in regards to sunny and i feel as though she crossed it during the baby fight club. sunny has been trying to take leo's feelings into consideration [among other eggs, such as tallulah, who excuse it as distrust of the new eggs despite being warm/neutral to both em and pepito while being harsher to sunny].

the fact that the fight ended and sunny was trying to leave when leo blocked the exit and continued to hit sunny shows that her feelings towards sunny are more than just apprehension. even ramon, leo's triplet, felt the need to step to in and separate them out of concern for sunny's well being.

i can also see the nuance of leo's behavior: its the first time where she has disliked someone and been forced to be in close vicinity/interact with them, and no one has taught her that this sort of behavior isnt ok so how is she supposed to know better?

its not an excuse by any means, but it doesnt make it any less bullying than it is. this is where the adults are failing not just sunny [by being bystanders] but theyre failing leo, too.

and sure, disagreements and fights between the eggs is interesting.. when it comes from both parties but when you have one egg--one child--who doesnt want to be around another egg child in consideration of their feelings while the other egg child vandalizes their things and hits them to the point of almost being downed--that's not a disagreement. thats bullying.

does leo have to like sunny? no

do i think that they have more in common and similar feelings of loneliness that they both dont realize, which could make way for a friendship? yes

would i mind if leo never warms up to sunny? no

its realistic. sometimes kids just.. dont get along and thats ok, its good to teach children that we arent going to get along with everyone or even like them [and not everyone is going to like us and we shouldnt try to force them to], but its also important to teach children that not liking somebody doesnt make it okay to treat them poorly or bully them.

in fact, this would be a really good situation in which both leo and sunny can learn the aforementioned, especially since their fathers are good friends that enjoy one another's company so i dont see them stopping hangouts anytime soon so leo and sunny will hopefully learn to, at the very least, be civil with one another. i hope this is the direction the story goes because a bully arc is one of the last things i personally want to watch

i understand its hard, especially when their first languages are not one that they share, but thats what the qsmp is all about, isnt it? coming together in spite of language barriers

im hoping the sunny/leo situation takes a turn for the better, even if it takes time to get to a point where they are mostly indifferent to one another w/o excessive antagonizing

with all that said, i will always have faith in the admins to give us their best, even if the outcome isnt what we wanted or expected

Hey hey hey you should talk about your blorbos

OH GOSH SHOULD I! (I'm sorry, I know this was sent a while ago but I've been so busy!)

You know, a year or so ago I was on the LU discord server and I was really starting to write fics again and was having a grand old time and somewhere in all the chaos, I picked up a fascination for the Fierce Deity.

And it was a lot of fun because there wasn't a lot of things known about him, just that he was a being trapped in a mask and that he could be many things but he was also extremely powerful and was worn predominately by a young boy named Link, the Hero of Time. Who just happened to be my favourite Link from way back in the early 2000s when I first dipped my toes into the Zelda fandom.

Perfection.

Previous fandom re-engaged! And it was so much fun writing about this mysterious god in a mask and I had a lot of early ideas about him making taking over Time occasionally or maybe he was more benevolent and just all SORTS of things! And then one fateful night in a channel where people were talking all sorts of ridiculous headcanons, I (like many other people) started to wonder what would happen if the Fierce Deity had gotten free from the mask and instead of being a god of destruction and horror, ended up adopting the very young Hero of Time.

And thus, the beginning of Father of Time was born.

The idea of the Deity as a father is not a new one. Plenty of people have thought the same! But I had *ideas* of a confused god that was honestly just doing his best to raise a very unusual mortal child, who could do so much and yet was still utterly perplexed by some of the behaviours of this boy that he desperately wanted to protect. It was so much fun coming up with scenarios that they could be put in. The Deity visiting Talon for advice, carrying an angry Link under his arm. Getting stabbed in the shoulder by a sword when trying to teach Link how to be a better swordsman. Link being a gremlin with moving time around and the Deity not being fussed by it one bit.

I loved them so, so much. I loved the Deity trying to be a dad and Link trying to figure out how families worked and I wanted them to live in their little house in the Lost Woods forever being a cute father and son duo and then-

And then came the plot.

It was all over for me at that point! Almost a year and 460k words later, Father of Time has reached word count levels that might mean some people will never pick it up and read it but I love it SO SO MUCH and I'll never regret any of those words. I've created a whole pantheon of deities for the story. I sent Link back to Termina, TWICE. I tossed him into the War of Eras. I've taken the canon from the games and I've expanded it and tried to fit things in with that that make sense but are also, at the same time, not at all canon. And I've been ramping up the promise of another, final conflict with Ganondorf that will kick off in Father of Time part two, just as soon as I'm done with the fic now.

I love them, all of them. I can't wait to tell the rest of their stories.
