I found myself looking through my series of Bobcat in a Box Mystery Packages again - the new HD setting makes the evolution of my Post-It notes very clear, with them previously being a hard-to-read background joke. I had actually completely forgotten what I’d written on them.

Here we go again.

Remember how, over the past couple of months, I tried my hand at the random delivery service that David introduced us all to, Bobcat In A Box?

Well, I've decided to give it another go. This time, however, I've decided to laser-focus it on one particular type of item: Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

I gave it $30 to work with, and if past performance is anything to go off of, this should net me at least 40 cards as a result...the minimum required for a tournament-legal YGO deck.

Which is the whole point of this latest BCiaB experiment: How good a deck can I get from a $30 blind grab? Over the next month or so, we'll find out.

Hopefully either nothing, or everything, I get will be from Japan, China, or Korea. I say this because those are from from the "OCG" region of the game and America is part of the "TCG" region, and long story short, because the backs of the cards are a little different and the paper stock used is a little different, you're not allowed to use OCG and TCG cards in the same deck.

Anyway, let's see how badly I come to regret this decision. XD

BobcatInABox update

I just received my first bit of mail from BCiaB! And it is...

A notice that I was automatically re-upped for another $7 worth of random stuff, a policy I wasn't aware they had. Whoops.

The unsubscribe policy's easy enough, though, just fired 'em back a reply asking to be taken off.

So yeah, once this experiment in absurdity starts rolling in the mail, it'll be going for a bit longer than I planned.

*crosses fingers, then uncrosses them to type this out before recrossing them again*
