Bombers' Notebook: The Killer Bees
"Because Windfall functions primarily as a port for sailors and merchants, it provides little in the way of entertainment for children; thus, many have resorted to mischief as a hobby." Bombers' Notebook: The Killer Bees #bombersnotebook
Although not a particularly rough spot, Windfall Island seems to be home to several bad-mannered and haughty citizens. Interestingly, the island also houses the Great Sea’s only jail (its sole inmate being Tingle, imprisoned for transgressions unclear). Because Windfall functions primarily as a port for sailors and merchants, it provides little in the way of entertainment for children; thus, many…

NPC - Neoma ♀
Tumblr media
Status: Alive  Temperament: Friendly
Blurb: The curious daughter of the Mayor's Son, Kafei. She can be impulsive, but ultimately she is kind.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
Shortly after their marriage, Anju and Kafei had a baby girl named Neoma. Neoma is slightly smaller than Anju and has her mother’s sapphire blue eyes. She has fandango pink hair and her attire is similar to her parents with a pink and gold tunic with a dark purple skirt.
After Neoma was born, her assumed senile grandmother's cognitive ability seemed to drastically improve. She loved to tell Neoma stories and Neoma loved to look at the tiger themed decor within her grandmother's room. Two years later, her grandmother passed away in her sleep, Anju dropping her food tray in dismay.
As a tyke, Neoma was often seen toddling around Anju behind the front desk of the Inn. She was shy of strangers and would on many occasions hide behind her mothers leg when customers would approach her. Despite this, guests often took a liking to the tot including Clock Town’s oldest resident Professor Shikashi. Professor Shikashi, the owner of the Astral Observatory, would continue to visit the inn on occasion to check on the family, almost functioning like the grandfather Neoma never had.
While she grew into a more independent child she became rebellious against her parents and a member of the Bombers Secret Society, just has her father did at that age. It was during her initiation she met an older boy named Jim who would develop into one of her closest friends. The two would practice slingshotting balloons within North Clock Town, occasionally slingshotting at the feet of squirrels.
Now as an adult, Neoma spends most of her time helping out with the Stock Pot Inn, though she finds it extremely boring. When she has free time she likes to go and visit Professor Shikashi who is now bound by a wheelchair and profoundly old. She also likes to visit Jim, who now works at Romani Ranch and the Curiosity Shop.

NPC - Mayor Dotour ♂
Tumblr media
Status: Alive   Temperament: Cautious
Blurb: The mayor of Clock Town. It's his job to keep this place running smoothly. He's the most influential person in town.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
Years after Dotour was elected Mayor, he married a red haired woman who went by the name Madame Aroma and the two had a baby boy named Kafei. As a preteen, Kafei met his childhood sweetheart Anju, whose parents worked at the Stock Pot Cafeteria just down the steps of that side of Clocktown. The two became inseparable and after many years of dating Kafei proposed and the two were engaged. Dotour was fond of Anju as he found her sweet and hardworking so he was supportive when he found out about the engagement, though he did wonder if Kafei was ready for marriage.
During the events of Majora’s Mask and the moon's descent into Termina, the mayor’s son Kafei had gone missing and nobody, including his son’s mother or fiancee, had heard from him. While Dotour is dreadfully concerned for his son’s wellbeing, he couldn't leave his desk. The mayor had to decide whether to evacuate the city or continue on with the carnival. Each day he was in his office, listening to Mutoh and Captain Viscen argue over whether the Carnival should be canceled or kept on schedule. Upon the final day of moonfall, tensions were high as the sight of imminent danger pressed into the atmosphere. Luckily for him, the Hero of Termina interrupted the bickering within the mayor's office while wearing the couple's mask. This reminded the mayor of the families within Clock Town as well as his own wife, clearing his head. He then announces he decides to let the civilians choose to stay or flee on their own. That night the moonfall was stopped by the Hero of Termina, and Dotour awoke to the news of his son being found. Not only that, but he was to be married.
After his son’s marriage, it wasn’t long before Mayor Dotour and Madam Aroma were grandparents to a baby girl named Neoma. Dotour absolutely adored his granddaughter, so much so he even demanded Mutoh and the other carpenters to expand the playground in her honor. He played with her within his office and let her sit in his chair, though he often was a bit over cautious with her, not letting her hold pencils from his desk in the fear she would hurt herself. Kafei would laugh at this, pointing out how dotour was more cautious with his daughter than he was despite being a new dad. Madam Aroma would point out her husband did the same with Kafei when he was a baby, though Dotour would scratch his head and pretend he didn't hear.

NPC - Gorman
Tumblr media
Name: Gorman
Status: Alive Temperament: Gruff
Blurb: Owner of Indigo Farms. He is a stubborn man with a gruff personality, but he means well.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
When you think of the name The Gorman Brothers, you'd assume it would include the man Gorman himself. However, that is not the case. The Gorman Brothers were two egotistical brothers that were respected farmers with a double life as thieves. However, they were put out of business shortly after the events of Majora's Mask. Romani, the owner of the ranch next store to the Gorman Brothers, stepped up and told the townspeople of their less-than-favorable business tactics. Now that their crimes were out in the open, business began to dwindle and before they knew it their farm's worth was reduced to almost nothing. Gorman, the estranged brother of the two Indigo's, decided to help his brothers out by arranging a deal. The smug look on Gorman's face when he proposed the deal said that help was only a technicality. He bought the brother's land and returned to the farming lifestyle, thus quitting the Gorman Troupe which is a group of circus performers he ran. The brother's begged for their brothers forgiveness but he refused, and The Gorman Brothers moved to a town across Termina.
Now with over 20 years of farming under his belt, Gorman is old and gray. He is usually seen wearing his red overalls holding a bucket of straw. Despite his gruff personality, he has a soft side. Since he took over the farm he now does business with Romani Ranch, fixing the toxic relationship between the two properties. He also allows Clock Town, Romani Ranch, or any neighboring communities to use his land for events such as faires and farm markets.

NPC - Romani
Tumblr media
status: Alive   Temperament: Happy-go-lucky
Blurb: Quirky owner of Romani Ranch. She is engaged to the owner of the Curiosity shop; Jim.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
When Romani’s father was found dead in the Romani Ranch cow shed, her older sister Cremia overtook the farm. both of girl's mother had died long ago during the birth of Romani, but their father always stated the two resembled their mother greatly. Cremia often struggled to make ends meet, but she always pulled through with the help of the carnival of time tourism and some pity of clocktowns villagers. Romani was mostly oblivious to this as that is what Cremia wanted. Romani loved playing with her father's bow and arrow.
During the events of Majora’s Mask and the moon's descent into Termina, Romani is a plucky child who meets the hero of time as he looks for his steed named Epona that was stolen by the malicious Skullkid. Upon the hero's arrival to the ranch it would become evident that the Skullkid had locked the horse in one of Ranch's stables. Romani, seeing the hero of time, says she will help the boy, who she dubs 'grasshopper,' but she also asks for his help in return. She tells him of ghosts like creatures that attack the farm every year. Romani herself is skilled with a bow but she can not kill them all and needs the hero's help or the farm will likely lose all of their cows. At first the hero was skeptical, but as he arrived on the night Romani told him, he was met with a horrifying sight. There were aliens with glowing eyes and sharp claws hovering towards the barn! With the help of Epona, He killed all of the monstrous beings just before dawn. Romani hugs the hero and asks for his assistance next year, though she would never see him again.
After the events of Majora’s Mask, surprisingly the aliens have yet to return. Cremia gave the deed to the ranch to Romani and moved to a different town, as she longs for a different life. She still visits her sister often. Romani is now engaged to The Bomber Society's former leader Jim.
Trivia
Romani has a mask made for her by Cremia. Romani also will refer to young children as grasshopper on occasion. Though she doesn't really know why she does this.

NPC - Shelda
Tumblr media
Status:  Alive  Temperament: Stern
Blurb: Anju's Mother and one of the original owners of the Stock Pot Inn.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °☽ ☼ ☾*₊ ° . ☆ • . .
Backstory:
In Shelda's younger years, she married a man named Tortus and had a daughter named Anju. The three ran a cafeteria until Tortus's unexpected passing. In order to make ends meet, Shelda, with the help of her mother in law, converted the cafeteria into what is now known as the Stock Pot Inn. This was done by turning the Cafeteria's guest rooms into the main focus of the business. Despite the Inn's minimal amount of rooms, it has always stayed busy due to the tourism within Clock Town. Unfortunately soon after the Inn became successful, it was evident that Shelda's mother-in-law, who lived alone and had been widowed for many years, was in cognitive decline and became bound to a wheelchair. Shelda, wanting the best for her child's grandmother, moved her into her own room of the inn where both she and Anju tended to her.
During her daughter’s childhood, she became close to the Mayor’s son named Kafei. After a few years, the two became romantically involved, though Shelda never approved of her daughter’s partner. She didn’t like how Anju spent less time at home and more time over at the Dotour residence. Kafei was a sly adventurous boy and she felt he was not a suitable partner for her daughter.
Following Skull kid stealing the Majora’s Mask and beginning the moon's descent upon Termina, Kafei had gone into hiding after being cursed to have the physical appearance of a child. Over the course of several days Anju searched for her partner to no avail. Shelda assumed Kafei was out cheating with Anju’s friend Cremia, but Anju knew in her heart that wasn’t something Kafei would do. Luckily with the help of the Hero of Termina, Kafei was able to finally be reunited with Anju and the two exchanged their wedding masks and vows on the final day of moon fall. the Hero of Termina had stopped the moon falling that night and within the coming morning, Anju and Kafei were married. It was at this point Shelda realized that Kafei was loyal to her daughter and even though they may not always agree, Kafei was now a part of her family.
It wasn’t too long before Shelda had a granddaughter who they named Neoma. Years later and together as a family, the three run the Stock Pot Inn. Shelda offers assistance when she can, but she is bound by a walking cane. Because of this, she gave Anju and Kafei the deed to the Inn.

Enemies in the Zelda series are not always mindless pawns of Ganondorf or whichever evildoer is currently vying for control of Hyrule. Sometimes Link encounters foes who have a lot of complexity and heart, offering intriguing contributions to the lore, amusing animations, or even dialogue that lets the player delve deeper into their characters. Regardless of how they are presented, these engaging…

Bombers' Notebook: Tetra
"Tetra is one of my favorite Zelda characters of all time — a mighty, strong, independent leader who will defend her friends to the death." Bombers' Notebook: Tetra #BombersNotebook
Many of us appreciate that the Zelda series features tough female characters who can easily beat Link in a head-to-head duel. Anyone who remembers the Pirates’ Fortress from Majora’s Mask won’t easily forget Link’s battle against those three ferocious pirates who guarded Lulu’s precious Zora Eggs. I have to admit, that place was pretty eerie, and navigating it still makes me nervous. But the…

Bombers' Notebook: Link the Goron (Majora's Mask)
"One character who receives relatively little attention and resolution is the NPC Link the Goron." Bombers' Notebook: Link the Goron (Majora's Mask) #BombersNotebook
Majora’s Mask is possibly the most satisfying Zelda game when it comes to tying up loose ends. Each character we meet over the course of the game has their own unique predicament and troubles that go along with it. By the time the credits roll, we have the satisfaction of seeing a nice resolution for all of these characters that we’ve helped along the way. But there are, of course, some…
