Sabías que...?(Versión Queen)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Michael Jackson adoraba "Another One Bites the Dust"

Rosalba Carriera   (1675 - 1757)
Tumblr media
Muse, ca 1720. Pastel on laid blue paper: 31 × 26 cm (12 3/16 × 10 1/4 in.)
A Young Lady with a Parrot (detail), ca 1730. Pastel on paper. Art Institute of Chicago.
Carriera first became known for her miniature portraits on snuffboxes. She was the first artist to use ivory rather than vellum as a ground for miniatures. By the time Carriera was age 25, her miniatures had won her special membership in the Academy of St. Luke in Rome. - Britanica
By binding colored chalk into sticks, she expanded the availability and the usefulness of the pastel medium (wider range of prepared colors) - wiki
Unlike oils, pastels required no lengthy underpainting, and they were often made on paper, which was easy to transport at minimal expense.
Many notables passing through Venice commissioned portraits from her. The collector and financier Pierre Crozat encouraged her to go to Paris. She did so in March 1720, accompanied by her family, and became the idol of the French capital; she received commissions for 36 portraits, among them one of Louis XV as a child. She became a member of the French Royal Academy in 1720 and the next year returned to Venice and her home on the Grand Canal. In 1730 she once more left Venice, this time to work for six months in Vienna, where Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI became her patron and the empress became her pupil. - Britanica
Carriera suffered emotional trauma following her sister Giovanna’s death in 1738 and the loss of her own eyesight, which began eight years later. By 1749 she was permanently blind and unable to work. However, Carriera enjoyed such extensive fame that for subsequent women artists, to be called a “modern Rosalba” was high praise. Renowned French portraitist Elisabeth Louise Vigée-Lebrun (1755–1842) earned the moniker decades after Carriera’s death, as Carriera’s oeuvre continued to influence artists such as Vigée-LeBrun and Adélaïde Labille-Guiard. - National Museum of Women in the Arts
True to her name she had a very successful career indeed

The W Trek
Total Milage: 55 miles
Total Incline: 13,600ft
Day 3: (11.3 miles)
We slept in and made oatmeal in the morning before packing up and heading back on the trail. The first five miles were beautiful we saw mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, and rolling Patagonia hills. At around 5 miles we got to Italiano refugio. This is the only refugio run by the government, it’s been closed due to COVID for a while and just used as a pack drop. A pack drop is where people store there bags while they head out to day hike Mirador Francés and Mirador Britanica. We chose to drop our bags and hike up to Mirador Francés about 3 miles round trip. We would have kept going to see Mirador Británica but we We’re exhausted and the weather wasn’t ideal. As we ascended towards our destination it began to hail on us. We sat at the mirador bundled in our cold rain gear mesmerized by the glacier and panoramic views. We sat there as long as we could bare eating trail mix, apple sauce, and sausage sticks. When the chill got to us and we had enough time with the views we headed back down to Refugió Italiano to get our big packs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had roughly 3 more miles to trek to get to our refugio for the evening, Cuernos. It poured rain the entire 3 miles but we had a very nice change of scenery. We had excellent views along the shore line. While peaking out of our wet rainy hoods to see the rolling hills in the background and glacier blue lake in the foreground. It was the most magnificent color blue I’ve ever seen, we were all blown away. We were very grateful to get to finally arrive at refugio Cuernos and take off our soggy gear. And of course, the sky dried up and the blue skies crept out right as we arrived.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was the first campground where we had purchased a platform to set our tent up on. We thought it might be nice but it ended up being extremely cold and uncomfortable. The platform was wooden slats about 2-3 inches apart meaning we’d have to set the tent up and strap it down in between the slats. We also had to rent sleeping mats because our sleeping pads were so thin we’d practically be sleeping on wooden boards. When the wind blow it would come directly under us freezing our bums. The mats weren’t the most comfortable but they did provide more warmth and a little bit of comfort so we were satisfied. The platform was also obnoxious because we kept dropping items through the boards. We dropped a fork but thankfully Crystal’s tiny hands came in handy and then Crystal dropped her glasses before packing up the next morning and they were forgotten. Overall, it was a fine campground but we wouldn’t be buying a platform camping spot in the future.

Cognitive Domain pt.1.1.1
CHAPTER 2: Remembering and Classification of Remembering
Kaya nga siguro nagkaroon tayo ng kasabihan na “Forgive but never Forget”.
Mga out of the blue memories. Naaaala mong biglaan.
Nangyayari ito in real life.

MOSCHINO FAILED, VERSACE VERSACE VERSACE, GUCCI AND JACQUEMUS NAIL IT AGAIN
Por Gregorio Brotons
27 de Septiembre de 2018
For years I have tried to feel identified with Moschino, and therefore with his creative director Jeremy Scott.  It just never happened. Probably due my love for boho chic, perfect tailoring and conceptually- aggressive statements. The self-proclaimed “fashion’s last rebel” never fulfilled my expectations, disguising pop art as irreverence just doesn’t work on its self anymore. Basically it’s just tacky. I only liked the brand’s “this is not a toy” perfume label because it reminded me of an iconic Magritte painting (ceci n'est pas une pipe)
So, even though my personal feelings towards the brand, I watched the 2019 show. Itself, it wasn’t particularly shocking, but what it was pretty interesting about it was people’s reaction to it.  Several Fashion blogs and twitter users noticed the similarities between Scott’s latest show with the 2017 spring-wear show from a Norwegian womenswear designer based in London. The designer Edda Gimnes says she actually met with someone from Moschino in New York last November and showed that person, whom she does not name, all of her work, including her sketchbooks and ideas. “Seeing the Moschino show yesterday makes me so sad and I feel so hurt that someone has, the way it looks to me, unquestionably used my SS16 and SS17 collections as inspiration without granting me any credit,” she writes.
I do not want to split hairs over the brand’s development, but you can see it was pretty congruent with pop’s art premise that it often takes imagery that its currently in use in advertising. But in this last collection what is undergoing? Where is that imagery?   “The premise for Spring was that I didn’t have time to finish the collection, so all I have are sketches,” he told Vogue.
Edda Gimnes its not a minor designer, The London College of Fashion graduate has been heralded as one to watch by a number of publications. When we dont have time to finish, we ask for help. And Edda Gimnes seems perfectly fit for the job. And she should have been quoted as a collaborator.
When will fashion industry fully embrace collective culture emphasizing on cohesiveness among individuals and prioritizing the group over the self? There is no shame in naming everyone who has participated in the creative process, so Mr. Scott has added something else to my personal list for not liking him.
To close up with PFW: Versace, Versace, Versace. We always love Donatella’s work. And this year to make it even better she used her former 90’s Versace-Girl Shalom Harlow (who we absolutely adore, finesse impersonated). Jacquemus also surprised with its show in the Parisian Italian-embassy, and I felt it as the most inclusive and diverse in terms of models casting. And I guess we are all waiting to have an occasion to wear that blue fringed dress with red leather knee boots from Gucci’s, and some other puffed shoulders looks.
Please, let yourself into the Moanzine World and don’t forget to leave a comment, I would love to read your ideas. Yours with love every Thursday,
G.
***

-- Arthur Schopenhauer

Nice bedroom and/or place to possibly hold the 2024 Olympics 2. The Little Toy house. The little toy house would rent out for $2500 a month in Manhattan (not including utilities) This is not that little of a toy house.  Not only could the rabbit easily fit inside the “little toy house,” the little toy house also has working electricity.  Why are these rabbits so civilized?  Is this some f**ked up Watership Down sequel??? 3. The color scheme we’re going for is “exploded paint factory.” “So what color have we decided on for the upstairs child’s bedroom?” “Which child’s bedroom?” “The enormous one.  The one with the expansive tomato-colored floor.” “I was thinking for that room maybe a dark green?” “Really?  Dark green?  You don’t think maybe dark green walls with a tomato-colored floor is a bit much?” “No, it’ll look amazing.  We can break up the monotony of the color with some dark green and yellow striped curtains.” “That’s an amazing idea.  On non-matching red and yellow spearhead curtain rods?  Do you think a tiger skin rug would be overkill?” “For a young child’s room?  No.  Not at all.  ”   5. The  Bookshelf “For tonight would you rather read ‘Hop on Pop’ or the entire Encyclopedia Britanica?” Why are these books so thick?  This is a child’s bedroom, not a law library.  Unless this rabbit is defending a doctoral thesis, there’s no need for him to own every non-fiction hardcover from Farrar Straus and Giroux. 7. The Idea That Anyone Would Keep a Comb and a Brush and a Bowl Full of Mush on the Same Table 8.   Continued… Meanwhile, back at the ranch… “So what color do you think for the child’s bed?” “I was thinking like a tomato-ish red color?” “You remember the floor’s a tomato-ish red color.” “Yeah.” “You don’t think that’s a lot of red for a child’s bedroom?  We don’t want it to look like the Amityville Horror kill room or anything.” “You don’t trust me?  I’ve been decorating children’s bedrooms for almost twenty years.” “No, I trust you, I trust you.  So you want to do all the furniture in red?” “Are you out of your f**king mind?  Of course not.  For the rest of the furniture I was thinking something sophisticated, like a mustard yellow.” “For everything??  All the furniture?” “All the furniture.” “Even the little toy house?” “Are you seriously asking me this?  No.  Of course not.  The little toy house should be red.” 10. The Dangerously Non-childproofed Fireplace Also, nothing says “child’s bedroom” like an expensive mantelpiece clock bordered by Cookie Monster-blue funeral urns. 11. The Totally Ignored Existential Mouse As casual about their infestations as they are exacting about their interior design. 12. The idea that a child this young (rabbit or human) would need a black office telephone by his bedside. “Goodnight, Technologically-out-of-date telephone” Who’s calling, his financial adviser?  Why would someone this age need a telephone unless it’s to call the woman across the vast expanse of his bedroom to ask her to stop whispering, “Hush.” This Picture of Bears in a Couples Therapy Session "So you say your mother was protective. Tell me more..." “So you say your mother was…protective?” Husband Bear:  We’ve started fighting more since our son was born.  I feel like she resents me.  I feel like every little thing turns into an argument.” Wife Bear:  “How could I not resent you?  We have a newborn and you’re off eating salmon in a PBS documentary while I’m stuck at home 24/7. Husband Bear: “Don’t start, Janet!  That documentary was a once in a lifetime opportunity!” Therapist Bear:  You sound angry. Husband Bear:  Brilliant observation!  It took you eight years of graduate school to figure that out? Therapist Bear:  Let’s all take a deep breath.  In, two three, out, two three… (They are all silent for several seconds) Wife Bear:  Also, a tomato red floor seems like a really bold choice for a psychologist’s office, doesn’t it?
