nah it's just caring! reader being the biggest parent to him and loving him because the poor boy needs it- please take every chance to compliment him his self confidence is lower than hell </3 but no fr i feel like nagito, as time passes and he gets complimented more, will stop verbally denying/refusing to accept the compliment.

like he'll, for the most part, just shut up and take it with a small "thank you" but it's still very weary and cautious. doesn't mean it's always as you can't stop life-long habits in a few weeks, but hey! it's progress and at least he's trying ☝️
