KHLOARIS principal Kenneth Filmer upcoming screening, through his work with Brooklyn Fire Proof!: NEXT FRIDAY, April 12, 730pm, 102 Ingraham St., Brooklyn, is the screening celebrating the launch of Brooklyn Fire Proof Classroom, and showing the films made by the students. THE SCREENING IS FREE. The Millennium Film Workshop, who pioneered independent film workshops over 50 years ago, were brought in to provide teachers, and Job Path, an NYC organization focused on assisting those with developmental disabilities lead independent lives, was brought in to provide students. The class focused on new media/cell phone filmmaking. The program was created by Brooklyn Fire Proof Stage Director Kenneth Filmer. Brooklyn Fire Proof plans to host more workshops of this nature, bringing a variety of interesting educating organizations into our workspaces and studios to teach filmmaking to a variety of individuals, including many who might not otherwise be in a film program.
