#emieclat#comic#webcomic#slice of life#birb#i used to have budgies but it was like 20 years ago and i don't think i ever picked them up#btw i don't think it was badly injured! it was sitting upright and seemed alert and i didn't see blood#mostly i think it just needed some time to recover#(which was what the wildlife center said when we called about a bird who ran into our window and just sat there for hours)#and i think maybe the middle of the road wasn't the best place for that#also lol at first i was gonna try picking it up with the plastic bag i was carrying everything in#before i remembered we LITERALLY just bought two pairs of gloves#imagine me dumping everything on the asphalt and stupidly thinking 'i wish i had gloves'#while the gloves are just sitting there on the ground going HELLO??#also also the flowers in the last panel are little purple flowers :^)#one is lobelia (my favourite flowers) and i uhhh forgot the name of the other one but it has five sharp petals
