I said this under a reblog already, but I’m worried about DAWN’s career moving forward from the breakup. He left Cube Ent. before he could really establish an independent fanbase or artistic identity. Even in PNation, I felt like he was bouncing around concepts with his releases - not really making anything his own, even though I enjoyed his music. Plus, all of the libelous accusations being thrown at him don’t look good for him.
And without HyunA or other collaborators from PNation (which played a big part in his general public recognition), he might fade into the background.
HyunA will be fine since she’s been in the industry since she was a literal child, and her name carries 10+ years of experience and popularity behind it: 4Minute, Bubble Pop, Following, A Talk, etc. DAWN was barely in the spotlight before the scandal broke.
Hopefully, he can use his connections now to continue making music. I was a big fan of Money and Dawndididawn (Tantara, my beloved), and hope he can make things that reflect his brand as an idol.

Noone cares but BTS stans are having a meltdown on Twitter because some members of NCT pretended to be BTS to get free drinks lmfao
And ofc there are BTS stans unironically screaming that NCT should be taken to court for defamation, identity theft, impersonation etc.
I don't like either group but good for NCT they should keep doing it for the bit

I'm gonna try to honestly respond to this.
Removing children and teens from entertainment is not the point of me boycotting New Jeans.
The point is that we KNOW the K-pop industry is extremely predatory: sexually, financially, and physically. It's demanding on idols' mental health and bodies; especially when it comes to achieving beauty standards, where they will be encouraged to undergo plastic surgery. Some of them give up years of schooling to achieve their dreams. K-pop companies know they're desperate, and trick them into predatory debt traps. Worse case scenario, these companies also pimp out their trainees for sexual favors under the guise of networking.
There are laws on child labor of course, but are they enough? Just because South Korea's Ministry of Employment and Labor approves a 40+ work week for a minor doesn't make it okay. How does MOEL quantify their ability to work when there are all these additional dangers that might affect them?
Everyone loves to praise HYBE/ADOR as Thee It Company, but at the end of the day, they're still a massive conglomerate looking to make money. HYBE/ADOR will always choose profit.
New Jeans isn't even a year from debut and they already released Cookie, which is EXTREMELY suggestive. That, and some of their stylists' choices are... weird to say the least.
TL;DR: the labor rights of adults in the K-pop industry are already shaky at best, what more for minors who are inexperienced and unable to legally decide for themselves? Until those problems of exploitation are resolved, I don't think it's right to even give these young groups any attention because it shows these companies that they are profitable—and they'll keep churning out younger and younger idols.
