How to Book Flights for a Tech Conference
Book cheap flight tickets and hotels- https://trailtravelz.com/
Booking flights for a tech conference requires careful planning and consideration to ensure a smooth and efficient trip. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process:
1. Research Your Options
Begin by researching flights to the city where the tech conference is being held. Use flight comparison websites like Skyscanner or Google Flights to compare prices, flight durations, and layover options. Consider booking early to secure better deals and flight times that align with your conference schedule.
2. Check Conference Dates and Location
Verify the exact dates and location of the tech conference. This information is crucial for selecting appropriate flight dates and ensuring you arrive on time. Double-check the conference schedule for any pre-conference events or workshops you might want to attend.
3. Set a Budget
Determine your budget for airfare and factor in additional expenses such as baggage fees and ground transportation. Look for airlines that offer discounts for conference attendees or group bookings if traveling with colleagues.
4. Book Early
Once you’ve found a suitable flight that fits your schedule and budget, book it as soon as possible. Flight prices can fluctuate, so booking early can often result in savings. Remember to enter your frequent flyer number if you have one to accrue miles or points.
5. Consider Flexibility
If your conference dates are flexible, consider flying in a day or two early to explore the city or attend networking events. This flexibility can also help you avoid last-minute price increases on flights.
6. Review Travel Restrictions and Requirements
Check the travel restrictions and requirements for both your departure and destination locations. This includes passport validity, visa requirements (if applicable), and any COVID-19 related travel guidelines or vaccination requirements.
7. Plan Ground Transportation
Research transportation options from the airport to your hotel or conference venue. Consider booking airport transfers in advance for convenience, especially if arriving late at night or in an unfamiliar city.
8. Pack Smartly
Prepare a packing list based on the conference agenda and local weather conditions. Don’t forget to include any necessary tech gadgets or presentation materials you’ll need for the conference.
9. Stay Updated
Monitor your flight status leading up to your departure using airline apps or websites. Stay informed about any changes or delays that may affect your travel plans.
10. Enjoy the Conference
Once you’ve arrived at the tech conference, take advantage of the networking opportunities, keynote sessions, and workshops. Make the most of your trip by connecting with industry peers and staying updated on the latest trends and innovations.
By following these steps, you can streamline the process of booking flights for a tech conference and ensure a successful and productive experience.

Business travel tips I found useful
Every day all over the United States people travel for business. It is estimated that almost half of the business travelers are women and will continue to grow.  Even all over the world women are travelling continuously. These ladies are able to successfully manage their business careers as well as the personal life. When travelling for work, many times trips have to be taken on short notice. By being organized and ready to go is a good idea. Planning ahead for the unexpected trips may make private life easier to manage.
Here are some tips make the work – life balance easier.
1. If you have lids it may be a good idea to have a vetted list of babysitters who will be able to stay with the kids while you are away. Why not create a small booklet for the babysitter where you can write down notes about what they will eat, their daily schedules, chores and tasks to do. Create a list of phone numbers of people who may need to be contacted. Let the sitter know what your children like and do not like or preferences. You should also write down who the medical professionals are medications and allergies plus where to take your kids incase something happens.
2. If you are a frequent business traveler then have a bag or suitcase prepared and ready to go. Depending on where you may be going to, it’s best to pack a combination of different types of clothes depending on the location and weather. Dark color clothes are easier to maintain and less likely that spots or stains would be viewable. Using wrinkle free clothes may be more practical too.
3. Depending on your dietary needs eating lightly is recommended plus try to avoid raw vegetables. It’s becoming more common for people to snack before taking a flight and sleeping during the flight so they will feel refreshed when they arrive at their destination. The air is very dry inside pressurized cabins, as such be sure to drink plenty of water.
4. Stay in touch with your family at home. With smart phones this is easier than ever to speak to your spouse and kids. Even video chat is becoming more common. Kids always like to get gifts or some sort of memento from where you travelled to, so why not get something and surprise them. You could even get something and surprise the baby sitter too!
5. When staying in your hotel room, it may be a good idea to put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on your hotel room door. If you’re really concerned about security some people go as far as to place a chair under the door knob to prevent anyone from entering. For those of you frequent travelers, have you thought about taking self defense classes. You’re visiting other cities where you know nobody and may be unfamiliar with the layout of the lad. Learn to protect yourself incase something bad happens.
6. Since you may be in a place you have never been to try to stay away from abandon streets or dark areas. Also if you are eating or drinking somewhere, do not leave your drink or food unattended as someone could do something to it. Just stay alert and be aware of your surroundings no matter where you go.
7. When selecting a hotel try to be choosy and look at their reviews. Some hotels are better than others. Well established hotel and motel brands are generally a good choice. By the way let someone know where you are staying. Let your company and spouse know where you are and what your travel plans consist of.
8. Money belts are a safe way to carry documents, checks and cash. These are worn around your waste inside your clothes.
9. It’s a know fact that there are safety in numbers. When able try to travel in groups and act confident.
10. Travelling with jewelry or other valuables just isn’t a good idea. Keep a small flashlight in your purse.
As far as room service goes and safety, in most cases you’ll be OK, depending on the hotel, but as far as safety goes eating in the hotel dining room is safer option. When talking to others, there is really no reason for them to know your travel plans, where you are going and when and they don’t need to know where you came from. I mention this incase you strike up conversations with strangers.
From the author: If you travel frequently and are in sales, when you have time why not join some networking groups or social networks and further expand your circle of influence to create more opportunities. Reference above description.

Smart Tips for Business Travelers
Few years back traveling was nothing but a pain but with the passage of time things have been made a lot easier. Not only is it more affordable than ever, but there are a lot of great tools out there to make it both productive and more enjoyable.
Out of all the tips that make your business trips easier, top 7 are shared below:
1. Get elite status: Nothing beats having being an elite member of an airline insofar as travel goes as the perks are just great: Faster lines, free upgrades, first class upgrades, the ability to use their lounge in the airport, etc.
So, how do you get that elite status? Of course the obvious way is to travel a lot with a single airline. But there are other ways as well:
Use their credit card. This is probably the easiest way to get to an airline’s elite status. Use their credit card and every time you charge and you get miles.
2. Disable the seat recliner in front of you: Is there anything worse than, an hour into your flight, having the person in front of you recline their seat and take away a quarter of your space? No. One way to prevent that unenviable experience is to use the “knee defender,” a nifty devise that you position that physically prevents the person in front of you from leaning back.
3. Get a great four-wheeled rollaway: This is vital for two reasons. First, checking bags is for amateurs, so having one great bag is critical. Second, a great rolling bag makes travel so much easier since a rollaway with four wheels can stand without you having to touch it, thus freeing your hands. Mine is made by Atlantic and looks like any other two-wheeled rolling carryon bag, but when needed, you can hit a button and two more wheels pop out, thus effectively turning it into a cart that cannot tip over.
4. Get some noise canceling headphones: No, they are not cheap, but they are worth it. Being able to shut out that crying baby, or engine noise when you are seated above the wing, can’t be beat.
5. Bring along some backup batteries: For your laptop, yes, but also, did you know you can buy an external backup battery for your iPhone? You can, and on a long trip, it’s worth it.
6. App up: It would be impossible to list all of the great apps that are out that make travel better and easier, but here are some of the top ones:
TripIt easily turns flights, hotel, and car reservations into a simple itinerary. Additionally, the app allows you to get flight status, driving directions, and more.
SeatGuru gives you detailed airline seat analysis, comments about seats which have limited recline (yes!), less legroom, bad windows, etc.
7. Never buy car rental insurance: Not only does your normal auto insurance probably cover any problem you may have with your rental, but so does your credit card in all likelihood.

Things To Do for Business Travelers in Hong Kong
When visiting Hong Kong on a short business trip, you should be able to squeeze in some sightseeing or other activities between work related commitments as the main part of the city is fairly compact and has a very good public transportation system.
Hong Kong is effectively split in two by a spectacular harbor and if you are a business traveler with a generous travel budget, you will probably choose to stay in a serviced apartment or hotels in areas such as Admiralty, Causeway Bay, Central, Fortress Hill, Happy Valley, Mid-levels, North Point, Sheung Wan and Wanchai which are all located on Hong Kong island. If you are more budget conscious, areas like City Centre, Kowloon City and Tsim Sha Tsui can offer both convenience to Hong Kong island along with affordability as these areas are located on the Kowloon peninsula.
With the above in mind and regardless of whether you choose to stay on Hong Kong Island or Kowloon Peninsula, the following attractions or activities can easily fit into your business schedule:
The Harbor. You should be able to squeeze in some day time and night time pictures of Victoria Harbor and at least one ferry ride, which is only an eleven minute trip, between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula.
The Peak Tram. Taking the Peak Tram to the top of Victoria Peak will reward you with spectacular views of both the city and the harbor. Just be warned that the lines for the tram can be particularly long on holidays or weekends while the best time to visit is right before sundown to watch the city's lights come on.
Nightspots With Spectacular City Views. There has been a proliferation of nightspots offering spectacular sky high harbor or city views such as Felix (the original Hong Kong harbor view bar that's increasingly a tourist trap and best known for its urinals with a view), Eye Bar (a new addition to the scene that's 30 stories up in Kowloon) and Ozone (which is on the 118th floor of the Ritz-Carlton - making it the highest bar in Asia). As always with such venues, check with locals in the know before deciding which one might be worth a visit.
The International Finance Centre (IFC). The heart of Hong Kong and Asian finance in Central, the International Finance Centre is literally a city within a city. The complex also contains the IFC Mall which is packed full of shopping, restaurant and nightspot venues boosting spectacular views of the harbor.
Lan Kwai Fong. A small square of streets in Central, Lan Kwai Fong has more than one hundred restaurant and nightspots popular with expats and tourists alike as the location makes it a great place to unwind after a long day of deal making in the city's financial district.
Knutsford Terrace. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon Peninsula, Knutsford Terrace is a pedestrian street well known for its excellent collection of international restaurants, bars and pubs.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club. More than just a horse racing institution, the Hong Kong Jockey Club is also the home of world class restaurants, bars and lounges which overlook the horse racing track where several hundred races are held every year.
Museums. If you have a free morning or afternoon, there are several museums clustered in Kowloon by the harbor with the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Hong Kong Museum of Art easily ranking among the best museums in Asia.
Golf. Kau Sai Chau is the only public golf course in Hong Kong and its only open to non-local residents during the week while certain all private member clubs will also open their doors to non-members at particular times - albeit green fees can be exorbitant enough to deter all but the most obsessive golfer.
Tailors. There are no shortage of tailors who can outfit you with a suit or an entire new wardrobe which can then be shipped to you anywhere in the world with Sam the Tailor on Nathan Road in Kowloon being one of the city's most famous. Just be sure to check with local contacts for recommendations before committing to an expensive purchase.
