all i really need to know about my experience w the byIer fandom is that when i decided to jump into the st fandom here in feb-march 2023, people were already complaining about the tag being dead and everyone being quiet and boring. that was, what, less than a year out from when st4 dropped? that’s how fast the whole thing cannibalized itself? and it’s still gnawing on its own rotting corpse instead of trying to do something else? whew

#watching it get worse and worse from my little Analyzing the Capital P Plot corner has been fascinating #especially since I have no real history with the Everything that happened #i kind of stuck my toes in bc all the Big Blogs that posted a lot were very byIer centric #but I am forever grateful that I got lucky enough to find james em and then stav #bc when I finished st4 I was champing at the bit to talk about The Plot and vecna. so thank GOD I found people who were doing that #it’s really just embarrassing how fast the byIer fandom has destroyed itself. y’all can’t even remain a solid fandom for more than 2 years?#i say things #stranger things //
