I swear I never finish fics bc I get caught up in the world building and specific details that are barely plot relevant and then I lose the motivation to Actually start writing
#I think I get hung up on little details bc I feel that it’s so easy to google to make sure it’s realistic#so that it’s my duty to be as realistic as possible so my readers aren’t taken out of the story I’m writing#like I was getting started on the ghostsoap tattoo parlour x flowershop au#but I got sidetracked when I decided I wanted ghost to have a motorbike#and I wanted him to have been riding since he was a kid#so I was navigating uk gov websites trying to find how young you can be to get your licence#(p sure it’s 16 if my research did me right lol)#another time I was fleshing out my hanahaki au#and I ended up getting distracted by the kind of flowers the mc was coughing up#but then I questioned how would they be able to identify the flower if it’s all covered in blood n spit n stuff#I brief google told me that plants can be identified by their dna#I didn’t even know plants had dna!
