Personal opinion but I generally dislike Katnep due to the shippers treating it as true love/pure unrequited love/whatever without considering that 1. Nepeta is 13 and crushes at 13 generally don't last, 2. It is mentioned a total of twice, 3. Karkat and Nepeta have a grand total of 1 interaction which doesn't indicate anything, 4. Terezi and Nepeta have literally canonically flirted more than Karkat and Nepeta, 5. The way they're shipping it reduces Nepeta down to Karkat as her love interest, which leads to things like the track art for "Serenade", which is kind of fucked up in the way it depicts a dying Nepeta drawing Karkat with her own blood. Like seriously what the fuck? How is that okay? Anyways not a Katnep fan.
