#dadphiles au#mephiles the dark#I’m just a huge fan of “character is adopted by child” trope#But character in this case is half a god of time who is kinda murdery and manipulative and really didn’t want kids#but Mephiles doesn’t have a vendetta against the hoglets or anything (except kinda shadow) but he also needs the timeline to not be f-ed up#so he’s an accidental dad#like the “where’s the logic in making life hell for a child’’ kind of dad#silver the hedgehog#sonic the hedgehog#shadow the hedgehog#more to come for this#Mephiles wonders why kids are known for being loud since the sss are all so quiet not realizing that his kids don’t have education#or parents#or a stable childhood#not until they met his and then they’re like ‘dad?’#the kids are like ‘holy sh$! a reliable adult figure I feel safe around’#I like found family#baguette thoughts
