Black Sails is just a continuous string of
“Can you BELIEVE this guy is Like That??” — guy who is also Like That, but slightly to the left
#like. it’s The Mimesis of course - but it’s also very funny#no one else in the show can have ANY self awareness because Max has ALL of it#she’s also Like That - but she knows it#the show really could have let her go through her s3 arc with zero awareness of the parallels to Eleanor#(as ANY other character would have done)#but NOPE! Max catches on IMMEDIATELY and states it explicitly#it’s insane#i can’t even think of one other character who would do that… or COULD do that!#everyone else needs this stuff pointed out to them and even then they STILL don’t get it most of the time#god i fucking love black sails#and Max specifically#i probably have more to say on this but it’s not coming at the moment so mmmmmmmm#black sails
