dude dub akutagawa is a whole different guy. not in a bad way but like he is 100% a different character to me
#it's an interesting take! i think he is very fun#but he is part of what i mean when i say the dub feels like a whole other show and different characters lol#chuuya is that too (derogatory) as well as fyodor (derogatory) (in a 'you flattened my boy's vibes' way)#but akutagawa is chill. he's funny. he's got similar enough vibes despite feeling very different.#i think the main thing abt him is less of an acting choice and more of a localization one?#as in. certain translation choices make him sound like he cares abt dazai less than the original akutagawa. which is a cool take!#idk if that was their intention or if they just. looked at what they were handed and this is the only thing that worked#btw the only characters who are 100% on point no criticism from me whatsoever are the guild. they're all perfectly casted 🖤
