Halloween candles. Soak them in warm water (not boiling water) for 10 - 15 minutes and bend them under water carefully. Dry them and paint the faces on with a permanent marker or paint marker. And you're done.

This 1948 home in Edmonds, WA is different and has great style. 4bds, 3.5ba, 2,729 sq ft, $2.089m.
The double front doors open to this wonderful little sunroom.
The living room is beautiful, gets a lot of natural light, and has a cozy stone fireplace.
The pretty dining area has a comfy looking banquette and double doors open to the patio.
A few steps down thru a brick arch leads to the kitchen.
The huge kitchen is beautiful. I like the contrasts of the white cabinets and dark counters to the dark island with a light counter.
The kitchen also opens to a garden.
What a fabulous home office. It looks like every room opens to the garden.
Lovely guest powder room.
The primary bedroom has a modern black granite fireplace, interesting round lamps and sliding industrial doors, which are nice recent touches.
Isn't the en-suite wonderful? It's so roomy and also opens to a terrace.
Nice big closet.
A place to relax with access to the deck.
Beautiful big deck.
And here's another large bath.
This is cute & fun, but it doesn't look like it's a child's room.
Looks so pretty lit up at night.
The grounds are stunning and perfect for guests.
A bar under a pergola.
Lots of outdoor seating.
Deck for outdoor dining.
The garden is a picture.
The property goes down where there's a large fire pit.
The .24 acre property isn't far from Puget Sound.

This is some sexy condo, for the price. Look at this technique of highlighting the unit that's for sale. And, look at the waterfalls out front. I wish my apt. had waterfalls. There's a nice private terrace, too. Built in 1982 in Louisville, KY. It has 2bds, 2ba, 1,644 sq ft, $449,900.
Have you ever seen a more classy door? Wow, I can't get over the door. I have a plain door that currently has a squirrel "wreath" for the fall. Next wreath I put up, I'm putting ribbons on.
And, look at the other side of the door.
This is fabulous.
B/c this is a condo, you can paint and put up wallpaper. My pictures are falling off the walls, b/c you can't put holes in the apt. One disappeared last night, fell right behind the couch.
Look at how nice the dining area is.
This fireplace wall is beautiful. I think that the cabinets are built-ins.
Nice corner sofa. The bad part about this is that they're going to take all their stuff with them.
Look at the kitchen. They redid it and put in the high end counters and backsplashes. Love the gold hardware.
Love the two-tone cabinetry. Oh, look at the display cabinets, too.
Beautiful private terrace.
Hall to the bedrooms.
Beautiful primary suite.
Luxurious en-suite.
Nice large closet.
The 2nd bedroom is big, also.
And look at this elegant en-suite. It's amazing what they did with a standard 3pc. bath.
Laundry room in the unit.
2 Spaces with storage.
Lovely front entrance.
Beautiful lobby.
Nice pool area, too. This is all I want.

This neglected 1978 Spanish style home in Oceanside, CA is under contract for $1.499m. It has 4bds, 3ba, 2,295 sq ft. It needs work and a massive clean-out, but it's so interesting.
As soon as you open the front door, a life-sized statue of Mother Teresa greets you. There's a nice tile floor and small curved staircase. I wonder if the owner will leave anything, b/c there's some good stuff here. Even though it was reduced $100k, Zillow still thinks it's worth less- $1,438,900.
Look at the ceiling above the stairs and the chandelier.
In the living room there are gorgeous ceiling beams and look at that fabulous big fireplace. Not thrilled w/the carpeting, but I wonder what the house will be worth once it's fixed up.
I don't know if this shows progress or if it's just more of the mess.
So, this would be a dining room with a nice chandelier.
Okay, the kitchen has flooring that looks like marble, and that large rounded peninsula is beautiful.
The counters are typically Spanish tile and the arched ceiling is an amazing feature. The cabinetry is somewhat banged up and needs a refresh.
Here's a roomy guest powder room.
I don't know what this room is, but it looks intriguing.
Here's a bath. Was there a toilet where they bricked up the wall?
This room looks like an office, but it could be a bedroom. The ceiling is interesting.
Here's another bathroom.
There are some bedrooms here.
But, these are smaller, secondary bedrooms.
This bath looks intact.
This must be a terrace that one of the main bedrooms opens to.
Wow, they really didn't treasure this beautiful home. I hope it gets some love, now.
The grounds can be stunning.
Look at the tower.
.25 acre lot. I bet that if they fix it up it will be worth quite a lot more. It's a very large home.

I haven't seen a church conversion in awhile and here's a beauty- you know how I love it when they look like churches and this one does. It's an 1892 former church in Carthage, MO. 3bds, 4ba, 4,689 sq ft, $599k.
Enter a large foyer.
There's this small side room with a lovely stained glass window.
I didn't expect the building to be this huge inside. Look at the beautiful ceiling.
On the former altar they made a stone fireplace and shelving.
In this corner there's a large kitchen and the beautiful front stained glass window. It looks like the former choir loft was walled in with the addition of a row of glass windows.
The kitchen is nice. The cabinetry matches perfectly and it also has lovely granite counters.
There's a pretty pantry door.
And, a very large pantry.
You can really get lost in here.
There's a large shower room down here, too.
Here we are on the 2nd floor.
I would say that this large room with the magnificent window is either the primary bedroom or a family room.
These are the windows that look down to the kitchen and main living area.
There's a bath up here with lots of storage.
Plus, a walk-in closet.
Separate stairs come up to this room. There are so many stairs.
This cute room has a sliding barn door to the bath.
This bath has a beautiful window.
I'm guessing that these are bedrooms. Apparently, this home was never lived in. I thought that it was, but by the looks of the paint cans, I think that it was just converted.
These stairs come down to the main floor.
In the corner of the kitchen. It looks like they left the back of a pew to delineate the kitchen from the living room.
There's a newly-built porch at the rear entrance.
10,000 sq ft lot

Redone 1872 Victorian in San Francisco, CA. As you can see it must've been brick b/c of the corner stones, but it's been sided and painted gray with purple trim. I don't mind that. 4bds, 6ba, 5,158 sq ft, $4.995m. What do you think?
The side hall entrance. I love that they used a darker floor for authenticity. That's the original front door. The stairs are intact, I like the runner. Not sure about the stone tile on the wall, though. The original molding has been painted gray.
The sitting room is entirely gray, but original. Love the fireplace.
Magnificent classical art on the ceiling, framed in gold crown molding.
In the second, matching sitting room, there's a little more color. There's a bar shelf in the corner with a nice zebra background.
And, look at this. The mural continues in this room. So far, I love it.
Oh, wow. They took some walls down and made a huge dining room/kitchen. I love the chandelier.
I don't know how I feel about this. I don't care for the upper cabinets. They did a brick wall, but why didn't they use used brick, so it looks old.
Next to it, they did a family room. I decided. I don't like it. Way too modern, and they changed the whole floor plan.
The powder room is gorgeous, but it's not Victorian looking.
This is one of my favorite wallpaper patterns, but they do have it w/people as well as monkeys, which may have been more appropriate for a Victorian. Well, at least they saved the railing.
What is with these people and stone walls? I like the light fixture. Looks like there should've been a fireplace where the dresser is.
Renovated bath. Wood painted black, but original. I like the sink. The silver paper I like, but not for this house.
Very modern looking closet.
This bedroom is good. Dark floor, original closets and fireplace.
This bath is beautiful, but super-modern. The only Victorian touch is the door.
Love the architectural features here.
Small, authentic bedroom.
The finished attic. Note the ceiling w/the artwork. Very modern, but it's the attic, so I'll give it a pass.
Modern shower room.
Down in the basement, there's a bright, modern wine cellar.
Family room and office or craft room.
Basement bedroom suite. Nice tile and I like the sink.
The yard is basically a patio. I don't like that it's so open to a main street.

I love a quirky house, so thanks to Ingek73 for finding this one. The theme of this 1953 home in Nijmegen Kwakkenberg, The Netherlands, is black & white. It has 4bds, 289 m² / 3,110 sq ft, €2.75m / $3.02m. Look at this very unique home.
We enter the main hallway which is a large space with an industrial look staircase.
Enter the living room area in flat black. I like the pink coffee table. Note how the big blue X fits the counter on the right.
The open concept kitchen is also flat black.
Off to the side, and separated by a wall, there's a dining area and a family room.
Then, downstairs, be sure to stop and grab what you need from the dresser under the stairs.
Then, proceed to the closets.
And, the shelves.
This bd. has a black tile wall and a glass divider. It feels very institutional.
And, there's a sink in the room.
There aren't as many toilets as there are tubs.
The stairs in the entrance hall go up to the other bedrooms.
This huge bedroom has a dining table with a tub right next to it.
There are some built-in shelves and a sink, too.
This bedroom has a sitting area with a sink.
And, this bedroom has a wall that is also a dresser. Behind it is a tub and a sink.
The nursery also has a tub and a sink.
And, here is toilet #2.
There's a terrace, patio and hot tub in the back of the house.
That looks like it can be used as a little glass greenhouse.
Lots of trees surround the house.
The front entrance, garage and parking areas.
