Alex knows there are people out there who think his love for Henry is a sin; that he's damned for it.

But: when the emails get leaked, his abuela lights a candle for him in her church, tells him Saint Raymond Nonnatus will protect him and Henry both.

But: the day after he returns to DC, he gets Cash to pull over outside the Basilica as they drive past it. He sinks into a pew at the back, not praying, just letting peace wash over him until he can breathe again.

But: Henry's lips on his are benediction, consecration, salvation.
