#[ooc]#tell me you want to make your villain intimidating but know nothing about karate without telling me#first of all the number of 10th dans in ANY style is limited af#usually around 30-40 but more or less in different styles#and we’re talking certified practitioners worldwide#some styles don’t even award 10th dan bc it’s reserved for the originators and grandmasters#and that doesn’t even take into account the amount of time it would take to earn that and be officially recognized#if it’s even possible in your discipline#like I can gloss over the older teens randomly having black belts bc technically their senseis could just award them#but an 18 year old being a renown 10th dan? I put my foot down lmfao#he could be like 5th dan max and I’ll accept it since karate rules bend in this show all the time#but that is just RIDICULOUS and I refuse
