talking about the strike with my students and theyre all gung-ho and supportive:
#i always love dropping the 'professional clowns make more than i do'#its wild to think my monthly paycheck working on electron microscopes and teaching pre-med students is comparable to what i made#as a content creator/internet jester man#but at least then i wasnt working 65-75 hours a week and bringing in millions of dollars to a major institution#whether or not i'm being called slurs by 14 yr olds or imagining the surfaces of semiconductors rent still takes up 70% of my paycheck
