sometimes i genuinely think i'm going to have to make the egypt novel a duology. then i remember i'm wordy as fuck in my first drafts and should probably wait with any definitive assessments until the first draft is actually done. anyway currently at 74k and uhh maaaaybe halfway through the story i think?

#a duology might work tbf so it wouldn't be like. the end?#but for Reasons (the cyclicity themes) i'm still shooting for a standalone #also i think the twist of HAHA IT WAS [redacted] ALL ALONG as an end-of-book cliffhanger is. well. overdone and Not Great #HOWEVER and in all fairness the juxtaposition of the natural <> the supernatural between two separate books would work well
