I was just going through some art and fic of her, and got curious as to what everyone's thoughts are!
#nienna#silmarillion#tolkien#polls#i've seen most of these at least once#also i feel like the choice is somewhat indicative of how everyone interprets her; like. the particular flavor#(i.e. whether the focus is more on her grief or her mercy or her identity as chthonic deity#or parallels with real world mythology/folklore; whether she's a milder/meeker presence or has underlying steel;#whether her mercy is truly only benevolent or a double edged sword; etc.)#but i haven't been paying nearly enough attention over the years to actually conclude anything concrete ^^;#i love all aesthetics of her tears and enjoy hearing everyone's take even if the reasoning is just that it looks cool! ♡
