anyway often struck by how (at least over here) aversive/'balanced' training is considered "masculine" while r+ is perceived as almost inherently "feminine" and no one says it out loud on purpose but i can not unsee it

#in coincides w a lot of conservativism and social progress i think but its still One Of Those Things #its not lost on me either that a lot of the joy-based (vs discipline-based) training methods (or whatever) have had their rise #around the same time as social gender equality #but i remember when a TV trainer broke away from reward-focused training to add correction in a high-stakes case #and all of those musty old asshats who've spent the last 40 years learning to stow their misogyny in public #all came out in force to go 'finally a WOMAN who gets it!!'
