2 weird interactions with strangers in the same afternoon that my hip dislocated while I was out so I had to walk around incredibly slowly so as not to collapse. Which presumably is not a coincidence ?
#they werent being rude or mean which is what i usually get in response to being disabled#but im also not usually shuffling along at 4 inches per step and 1 step every 2 seconds or so#they were actually being pretty helpful just in a very weird way that i dont know what to make of#would annoy the fuck out of me if i got that often tho :/#but it was a cashier putting the two small things i was holding in a bag for me despite my forgetting to ask#and an old woman on a walk with her dog stopping to give me space as i crossed the street#which was nice bc otherwise her dog would have gotten way too close but also was bizarre#the weird part is just the way they were talking me#like very carefully and slowly and kept asking if i was ok#idk man#disability
