life hack: terrible discourse around Brain Problems of various kinds gets a lot funnier to witness when you can remind yourself that "black and white thinking" is a symptom or trait of basically all the disorders there are

#this first struck me in the context of like #people with eating disorders who get extremely into body politics but in a way where msotly they're just like #'anyone whose relationship with food is even a little different than mine has an eating disorder. this is what recovery looks like btw'#but it applies widely and does add some levity around the situation #people whose internet brand is talking about their disorder making very confident extreme claims. and never connecting the dots #the dots are hard to connect! i have empathy for this #in fact i would say giggling at this a little has made it easier to empathize
